Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 24, 2009 7:15 pm Looking for some guidance here please, this is an area I know nothing about. Stormwater to the street, is this something you can do yourself? We have been quoted quite a hefty price (almost 5k), which does not include 100mm sealed system or pump... pump for what? We are on a very steep block, going upwards 8m bottom to top Any help would be greatly appreciated Re: Stormwater to street 3Apr 22, 2009 3:12 pm Is there not an easement on a neighbours block that you can access instead? Re: Stormwater to street 4Apr 22, 2009 6:22 pm Do you live on the 'high' side of the street or the 'low' side? Your local Council's website should offer some guidance on these matters under a section relating to Development Controls etc. We live on the low side of the street on approx 1200 sq m in Ryde. Ryde Council is a teeny bit finicky about stormwater so many people on smaller blocks spend thousands on installing stormwater detention systems or On-Site Detention (OSD). Fortunately, because our block is so large and our building footprint (all impervious surfaces) will total less than 35% we don't have to proceed with OSD. In addition we have an easement right at the rear of the block for a Council Stormwater Pipeline so if push ever comes to shove we have something in writing from Council that we can 'tap' into that. Pix. Built a (highly) modified Allcastle Maxworth 38.7 in Sydney. Hi all. I'm thinking of installing an electric gate in front of this street front villa (link below). The gate would be between the bush on the left and the letter box on… 0 2779 Thanks! I'm spoke to the builder I'm not sure if this is all true but basically went along the lines of they considered all options and if I was to compact and fill it… 2 7315 Plumbers 'can be' plumbers, made all the worse by self certification which the building surveyor invariably accepts as proof of compliance!
