Have posted more photos on fb (accessible to friends) so if anyone wants to see pm me. Sarz

Is that a stone garden feature out the front? we want to do something like that too. Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. It is lovely to have such wonderful feedback as there is always tonnes of anxiety about getting it wrong when you're making yr choices! We are building in SE Qld with a local builder and my Dh pretty much designed the house which was then tweaked by the Draftsman. Am I allowed to mention builders by name on here??? It's not one of the big firms anyway! I did want to go into a little more detail but I have to do the School run now too, but will pop in with more info later. Thanks again all, Sarz Re: The story so far.... (pics) 10Mar 24, 2009 3:11 pm Wow !!!! That is awesome - i just love your kitchen, its massive !!! Where abouts in SE Qld are you building ? You've chosen very well ! Can't wait to see more pics and your floor plan. Would you mind telling me how much they are per sq. metre and where you got them from (pm me if you want). That is the exact look we were after for the outside of our place, but it got too hard trying to find something that was going to work. Not sure if the tiles will do the job, but it is another option to look at. Congratulations - you must be very happy The Tiles in the Bathroom are from Beaumont Tiles and are around $60sqm I believe? I forget or could be getting mixed up in price but the tiles are definately from there! They also come in a grey base instead of the brown Our Blog! http://cityplantation.blogspot.com | Building the Havana 485 with Plantation Homes (Henley) Re: The story so far.... (pics) 16Mar 24, 2009 8:55 pm Hi again all,
Sorry to have taken a while to come back and answer questions, but have been running around with kids all afternoon. HelsnGreg - yup that's a sandstone feature wall which will eventually have a tree in the middle. We have a circular driveway going around it. Luckily we also have a good mate who is a landscaper who has done a lot of the work. Chelle - The tiles are called Corten A Rust; if you google Corten you will find some other images. . They were purchased through our builder so were discounted but haven't got the final figure handy. I have seen them used in exteriors and they look great. As Gester said, they do come in other colours Copper and Carbon (grey/black base). The Copper were dearer from memory. Here is a close up: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ donuts - thanks for your enthusiasm! italk and Donuts - Bench top is CS snow with Ebony Macassar laminate.Cupboards are Polar White. Paint throughout is Dulux Grey Pebble half strength with Lexicon White trim. There is also a big cavity sliding door which separates the kids bedrooms and retreat from the living and we are probably going to paint it in dulux Lime Parfait. I really wanted Dulux Hot Lips but Dh wouldn't go at that! Oh and the splashback is going to be in a colour called Seismic which is a sort of light coffee colour but is also metallic. Can't find that anywhere on the net even tho I thought it was Dulux! The other colours: main colour Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ large sliding door colour Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Oh and the theatre/media room: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Umm... floor plan, I have one that was emailed to me from the draftsman but it has all our details on and not sure if I want that posted on the www. It also won't let me edit it so I might have to scan a modified plan in from work. Don't have a scanner at home, sorry. Joles - yup the ensuite is fairly large I actually was a bit freaked when I saw it, but it is that size to fit under the roofline. We are only having a Masters Retreat upstairs and nothing else. Anyway, I'm sure I'll get used to it My current ensuite is probably less than 1/10th of the size! Everyone else thanks again for your kind comments, I feel very welcome here already! Sarzy Re: The story so far.... (pics) 18Mar 24, 2009 9:10 pm Thanks Sahana. We had exhausted the local lighting shops and couldn't quite find what we were looking for and then were down on the Gold Coast and walked past this lighting shop and fell in lust! They are pretty huge lights, but we have a nice big open area. The link to the shop is www.optique.com.au (not sure if that will work). As the shop was shut when we saw the lights (on a Sunday), I called on the Monday and ordered them and had them freighted to me (freight was really reasonable). PM me if you need more details. Sarz Re: The story so far.... (pics) 19Mar 24, 2009 9:24 pm Sarzy, great colour selections. Very similar to my colours also. So it would be good to see how it looks IRL. We are also getting grey pepple, but quarter strength, Lexicon for ceilings, trims and doors. Snow cs benchtop and white laminex cupboards (alabaster). For splashback, we are also going metallic light brown/mocca/coffee colour! Can you please let me know what colour is your HT? It looks great. Keep the photos coming!
