For the possible problem with the neighbour property, go to serviceseeking.com.au and you should be able to find someone. Just post a job describing what you want. You should end up with a few quotes. There are generally feedback ratings as well. If there is an issue you need to check with council on what any recourse might be. What most people don't know is that there are 2 sets of survey pegs - the ones which stick up out of the ground and other (more accurate) ones which are buried in the ground - all you can see of those ones when you uncover them is a wooden square (around 3 centimetres square) with the lot numbers on the top of it. TBH the in ground survey pegs that I've seen would be very difficult to remove but easy enough to cover. If you're in a new(ish) estate go and have a dig around where the survey pegs are meant to be - you may just save yourself around $1,000 I am building in claymore NSW and this is shown in the building envelope plan. … 0 9970 A survey must’ve completed by a certified surveyor.
