I was excited by the slab but the frame is even more exciting! I have some more pics from today, just uploading to photobucket. Isn't it a frustrating business trying to get everything organised. I couldn't believe how complicated it was!! Re: Fairy Blue's New Home - More Framing Pic 22/4 84Apr 22, 2009 7:38 pm They have been busy over the last two days. Check it out. Our main bathroom is not overly large and is next to the laundry. This will have a door on the bathroom side which opens into a cupboard in the laundry. This will house the laundry basket. Hopefully my two boys will be able to open the door and put their clothes in the basket then all I have to do is open the cupboard in the laundry to put them in the machine. This solved the problem of where to put the laundry basket in the bathroom. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Oops! A little bit of frame overhang but thanks to this forum I know that all is ok and not to panic about it! Thanks guys! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I 'walked' my sister through tonight. Still gives us plenty of room on the block, gonna put a pool in and still have plenty of space at the back of the house to do ...... not quite sure what we are going to do with it yet DH has mentioned cricket nets!! I think he is joking!! Re: Fairy Blue's New Home - More Framing Pic 22/4 91Apr 25, 2009 6:35 pm Here is the most recent pics, taken before it actually rained! A few more roof trusses. It gives a feel of how the house will look from the road, pay no attention to our 'boarded up' front windows! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Another slab mistake. Re: Fairy Blue's New Home - More Framing Pic 22/4 92Apr 25, 2009 8:06 pm Love your entrance, no that different to ours. That is quite a mistake with the measurements of the slab isn't it. I am glad it can be fixed. Hopefully we see alot more happening for you next week. Re: Fairy Blue's New Home - More Framing Pic 22/4 93Apr 27, 2009 5:18 pm Quick update, no photos, sorry as the tradies were still there (Yes, they were still there at 5.00pm!!), putting up our guttering and fascia. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We have chosen monument for the roof and gutters but we were unable to choose it for windows as the builder uses a different company. We had to choose the closest match and I have been worried about it but having seen the windows and the guttering together I am very relieved that they do 'go' together. I was worried the windows were going to be too blue, going by the sample. The theatre windows are cute, we are having a 'moment' over these too. DH had the doorways to the theatre room made smaller so that he could have a bigger screen. We are now starting to wonder how we will fit furniture throught the doors!! Other people have told us they had to remove windows to get there lounge suite into the house, oh can't do that, we have tiny little, room darkening windows!! Moving day should be fun! I recently finished my house and after landscaping, have begun to plan a fence. To be honest its been a bit of an afterthought so I'm after some much needed advice.
