Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 18, 2009 7:06 pm Hi everyone we payed our $1000 with PD a month ago and have not heard from anyone since.
We were told we would have a call from our CSC within a week or 2 and calls from hopetoun and national tiles to orgainise appointments within 2 weeks. We aren't in any great rush (just want the contracts signed before June 30th) but we are just a little concerned as we haven't heard from anyone! How long did it take for them to contact you after paying the initial $1000? There are some appointments before contract....they are tiles, colour, electrical and tender appointments....u better call PD to look for ur CSC.... Some CSC are so lazy!! Good luck!!! Metricon Amira Re: Should we be concerned? 4Mar 18, 2009 7:33 pm It took about a month for someone to call us.. only after we called them first.. Call your sales agent every few days until they get the CSC to contact you. If they havent booked in your appointments yet you might be in a rush to get to contract in time.. Took over a month from when the CSC called to getting into the appointments.. its now a month after that and we still havent signed contracts.. Call them.. keep calling them.. get those appointments booked. -------------------------------------------------------- Building in Highlands Craigieburn Status: Building the Laundryless 25.5: Slab Complete Re: Should we be concerned? 6Mar 18, 2009 9:02 pm We got a call within about a week.... things moved pretty quickly in the pre-construction stage. Just don't talk to me about construction....
If you haven't heard anything, pick up the phone and call! Actually, I'd ring your sales consultant - they're usually great at stirring things up. Maybe because their commission depends on the build actually happening...? Cynical? Me? Re: Should we be concerned? 8Mar 18, 2009 10:51 pm I would not be concerned.
PD are very busy at the moment, what division are you building with Access, Lifestyle or Prestige? Re: Should we be concerned? 9Mar 19, 2009 6:02 am We had all those appoitments after contract signing! Re: Should we be concerned? 11Mar 20, 2009 7:14 am Don't wait, just call. The "not getting back" , leaving you wondering "what's going on?" seems to be happening in many cases, not just builders. Even those that said they will call back, most of them don't. Re: Should we be concerned? 13Mar 31, 2009 3:19 pm Ours went through pretty quick, we had everything done within a month of paying the deposit. Mind you, I was due to give birth so we got it all rushed through and they were great at accommodating us. Our tender appt was the day before I went into labour and our contract appt was 3 weeks later, thankfully the baby slept for 3 hours straight through that one Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. Yes you should have it inspected by a competent and experienced building consultant 2 7011 i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 15822 |
