Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2602Aug 24, 2012 8:03 am Hi Rabbitboy, yes that's my issue too. They just aren't friendly and I almost feel I'm inconveniencing them when I go in. It just makes it hard. I love the whole concept of it especially with having a cafe so close but I'm just finding it hard to have reason to keep going back. Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2603Sep 02, 2012 2:30 pm Quote: Traffic around here at the moment is shocking. There are too many bottlenecks where you can get stuck for minutes waiting for lights. They really need to open up more links between the estates and Cooper street. Miller st and Epping rd are massive bottlenecks and getting worse. Also need Edgar's rd completed and opening up O'Hearns onto Hume fwy. That's my rant for today. Couldn't agree with this more. I, too find the cafe people unfriendly and the ambience isn't nice (loud TV/radio)...etc. I loathe their big signs they've placed around the estate too. Hideous. Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2605Sep 15, 2012 1:36 am Hi all, I just moved in Summerhill and was wondering if anyone heard on the updates for NBN Rollout in Epping? No really ideal to be 'cut off the world' without much internet access when you just arrived in new area, since there is no copper wires anymore available here. LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2609Oct 14, 2012 7:00 am ashrey Does anyone knows what they are building in the public transport corridor in Aurora? Is it like a bus track or anything similar ? I believe they are going to landscape it for now. Nothing big. When I ran past there about a week ago I saw a sign advertising landscaping services on the temporary fencing there. Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2610Oct 17, 2012 10:03 pm Hey everyone, I just received an email from the Aurora Community Association about their car boot sale on the 18th of November. It will be hosted at the car park behind the old pavillion / land sales office from 9am to 1pm. It's a gold coin entry, or if you want to set up a table it's only $10. There's more information at the ACA page here: Car Boot Sale Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2611Oct 24, 2012 10:00 am Does anyone know the manufacture of the FTTH boxen on the wall of the garage? I'd like to go to Middy's etc for a key but I suspect I'll need to know the manufacturer first as well as the keycode. There was no sticker on any of the visible sides of the box. Didn't matter in the end. I found an online store who will cut suitable keys from the code and ship them next day. Key works fine. Yes, I was just about to say that you just need to quote the number on the lock to a locksmith and they can cut you a key, but I see you worked that out. Damo - yes, I'm having television signal issues today (6th Nov) - mainly with my Foxtel though Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2616Nov 07, 2012 5:44 pm oztish Quote: I'd like to go to Middy's etc for a key but I suspect I'll need to know the manufacturer first as well as the keycode. Didn't fix the TV Fault and left me waiting 3 hours before I found all this out! I could go on and on about this I am so P4%&*ed off! Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2617Nov 08, 2012 10:19 am DamoAu What a nightmare, FTTH guy came here this morning, and totally F^*&#$% me over, left without warning, and reported us to their bosses because our equipment wasn't as it was when they left last time! As far as I know, the router is CPE (customer premises equipment) and we can do what we want with it (although we're not allowed to open the cabinet so need to make changes via the web portal for the router). Is this not the case? Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2618Nov 10, 2012 12:55 pm The router is locked with a password that we are not given, And having that done creates another problem if you need to fix the internal IP Addresses of some equipment! My cabinet also had a VOIP adapter and an Automation interface which both need to be in the cabinet as thats where my Lighting system connection and my patch panel is for IR Receivers etc, I also need to patch the phone lines from the Voip adapter to wall points around the home. The setup is definately not correct, They should have their UPS and fibre to Phone/Internet/TV unit in its own cabinet, which I agree we shouldn't have access to that, and then the router and patching connections in our cabinets available for us to access. But for some reason they deem the router as carrier equipment - which has never been done for any ADSL or ADSL2+ setup. These have always been fully accesible to the customer, only the phone line was not to be tampered with. Someone has gone a little over the top with these guidelines. and I suspect doesn't really have real word experience how everything works together. Unfortunately I think the decisions that have been made have allot to do with the original setup from Arise causing confusion and many builders not having electricians who knew what they were doing as far as Data cabling is concerned. And a handful of people made changes to their equipment that was not compatible. This caused some issues, but now for the rest of us who know what to do they have made things very difficult. Hmmm Rant over for now! Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2619Nov 11, 2012 12:23 am Hi all, Neighbor has just warned me that he spotted a brown snake in the area in Summerhill stage 15 on Evolve Esplanade. A tradie who was passing by found a way to sent it through down the street gutter, as per told. Just wanted to ask if its common around. If so, is there any licensed snake control authority around to contact if this situation arise? Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2620Nov 11, 2012 5:51 pm Am currently with Iprimus but want to move to iinett called them this morning and they said they would do the switch over for me is it really that simple? Hesitant to cut something off that is working but apparently a Bob through iinett you simply plug into the phone line and that will set me up with a wireless which I currently don't have!
