I understand that Aurora has Fibre, but I am not too clear on Lyndarum. Is that Fibre? Or good old fashioned copper? If Lyndarum has copper, then does anyone know of an online map that shows which area has what (that is, where has fibre and where has copper)? I live over at Hayston area and we are on copper ADSL2+. OK, thanks for that Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2385Feb 15, 2012 9:57 pm Thought some people would be interested. Been with iiNet for a few months now. Got an email earlier - they have changed their plans. Was on a 30GB Peak/30GB Off-Peak plan - Now been changed to 100 GB Peak/100 GB-Off Peak and its $5 cheaper a month. Stoked with that! LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2386Feb 16, 2012 6:27 am Yes bsc, was pleasantly surprised with iinet's new fibre plans. I upgraded to 50Mbit (I was on the same plan as you) and it's costing me only $5pm more than I was previously paying. Although there are good discounts for those who are happy with what they have, I think it's extra awesome that higher plans that cost so much more than medium plans are now much more affordable. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2387Feb 18, 2012 12:20 pm Looks like I'm one of the 'lucky' ones to have a damaged solar panel. Discovered it this morning when I noticed the sound of water in my downpipe. Rang DUX it seems their techs don't work weekends. Does anyone know how to bypass the panels so I don't waste any water? Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2388Feb 18, 2012 5:17 pm Seems like iinet is trying to secure all the stage 1-7 residents by offering a better deal than iprimus. I'm not happy with iprimus' maximum plan of 80GB in peak times...but at least iprimus don't count uploads, whereas iinet do. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2389Feb 20, 2012 6:05 pm Hi everyone, just have a question re: Aurora fencing. My back fence has come loose off the nails (actually 50% of the nails in my fence are not doing anything, must have been installed by a 3 year old), and was just wondering if there is any warranty on our fences at all so i could wish to contact Places Vic or my builder to come rectify it at no charge? We have been in the house 11months. Otherwise i will have to pay for it to have it fixed and being shared with my neighour i dont think he will want to share as it bothers me more than them. The fence currently sways a bit when the wind is strong, and there is a 5cm opening between panel and post. Secondly can anyone recommend a good handyman or fencing specialist around here? Cheers. Damn it! I am with iPrimus, been happy with them but now that iiNet's improved their plans mine looks crap! Who doesn't want more for their money? I am going to quiz iPrimus to see if they will be matching iiNet in the near future or else i am switching! I'm on a 50/25 plan but I'm only getting around 22/10. Rung them several times about it but they say everything looks right. Actually this is a change from iiNet that affects all fibre plans that they currently are in market in, not just the Aurora Arise residents. They did this as their previous fibre plans were very poor value when compared to the NBN plans. Now the plans are much more in line with NBN plans. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2393Feb 21, 2012 3:01 pm Hi all, Does anyone know what happen with the light in tennis court? Its been 3 weeks now...there is no light, are they going to fix these or it will be like that forever. Is anyone know where should i complain about this? Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2394Feb 21, 2012 5:09 pm Hi Guys I have been reading this forum for sometime now. Moved to Aurora 7 months back. Just wanted to know if any of the residents lodge official complain to VCAT against their builder and does it really help?? We are getting ignored by our builder(TH) for last 7 months. From the day we moved in. He promised to finish little bit of remaining work after we move in and after our numerous calls and emails, we are finally thinking about complaining. Enough is enough. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2395Feb 21, 2012 5:19 pm Also is anyone complaining to Council regarding garbage and other dumping in open ground around broadleaf/rockfield.?? Residents have made that area their official dumping ground. It looks disgusting. Its a shame that other Aurora and Lyndarum residents are doing this in their own estate. We are complaining to council on regular basis but empty promises and no work yet.. I guess we are the only one bothered by this. Council asked us to note down number plates and give it to them so they can issue some legal notices and fines. We have formed a small group who are noting all the number plates and about to hand them out to council. I request to all the residents, please don't throw your garbage in common areas. Have some sympathy for people who are living in front of that. You probably should also contact Aurora Community Association if you haven't done so. So that they can bring this up in the next General meeting and in their newsletters. And it'll be good that you also post it in their forum (http://www.aurora.asn.au/forum) as it is a point they can collect issues happening in the estate. email: enquiry@aurora.asn.au website: http://www.aurora.asn.au Hope that helps. I got an email from iiNet saying that my new speed will be available at the start of the next billing month, which for me was yesterday. When I came home from work to check the speed I was still on the old speed. I called up iINet Fibre team and they told me that even though there is a form to upgrade on the web, it is still a manual process and the representative wrote an email to VicUrban/Places Victoria while I was on the phone to him to request the speed change to be applied on their end. Why this wasn't part of the process (I notified iiNet of my intent to change speed 2 weeks ago now) I'm not sure, but I've been updated now and am quite satisfied with the result. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2399Feb 25, 2012 7:29 pm My speed tonight Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I wouldn't switch to iinet because they count uploads and I'm pretty sure my son uses torrent sites. Just wanted to remind people to help support the local Aurora cafe...the last few times I've been up there it's been really quiet and I like to support local small businesses. Such a nice spot for a coffee under the peppercorn trees. LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2400Feb 26, 2012 6:04 am Hi oztish, In no way did I mean my post to be some sort of race of speed or other type of comparison between iiNet and iPrimus; just wanted to share some information in case someone in the Aurora estate wanted their speed profile on their connection changed.
