Browse Forums Building A New House Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 41Aug 24, 2009 6:56 pm Hi Oztish - it's great to hear that you had no major defects and that you are enjoying the new house. We are still waiting (10 weeks now) for tender and we are getting frustrated with Z&ccala Homes. Can't believe how slow their administation are. Gammage - Welcome to the forum and it's great to get another person from the same estate joining this forum, I hope you will share your building journey with us. Are you building with JGK? I think there was a meeting organised for people who got charged the CPI increase last week or something, did you attend? I hope others can help you with your questions. Ozep's building is delayed apparently due to problems with the optical fbre cables so this could be causing delays for you too. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 42Sep 07, 2009 2:01 pm A rock allowance? Is this for a particular builder? or everyone in a particular stage? Is this stage at the end of Rockfield Street? Because I can vouch that the machine that breaks up the rocks starts at 7am every single day and goes all day long - there must be a lot of rocks out there! Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 43Sep 24, 2009 8:22 pm Hi am at corner of rock feild street. Yes they are charing $4500 extra for me apparently vicurban started invloving inside the house. they started dictating us as per plan I have cat6 cable point for internet at family room with out my concern they removed and moved near to TV point I spoke to sonia, she said it is a policy, if it is a policy of having cat 6 cable near to tv point why they are removing existing points. I asked her about this she told me to rise variation. I asked her who is going to pay for variation fee no answer she ask me to talk to carmine, I can't reach him so for. how ever i spoke to anne cross and e-mailed her about this and waiting for reply. guys any idea where to take up this issue. am not only the person affected by vic urban so many people have affected like me. my builder told me for one of his customer he started puting slab and vicurban ask to stop and they advice him to change some plan and told them it is policy. I am wondering how policy applies for old release and what rights they have to stop construction that to during slab stage. I think we need to stop vic urban doing this. so many of them are affecting like me. atleast for me internet points for people have suffered for easement very oftern they are chaning easement before title and builder are forced to change the building plans think how people are affected I think this is good time to make this as big issue so that others won't get affected. if any one knows where to rise this issue please let me know please let me know your thoughts Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 45Sep 29, 2009 3:23 pm As to who you can take your complaints to, there was a meeting a few weeks ago to form the Aurora local community group. I couldn't make it, but I know that Taegan was the VicUrban representative present that night - perhaps contact her? I do however think she's in charge of community activities as opposed to building issues. I think Sonya Rezo is the main person for that and it sounds like you already have her details.
Sorry I can't be more helpful. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 46Sep 29, 2009 7:59 pm Hi Guys, I am new here and delighted to find a forum like this to ease a little of my nerves of having a property for the first time... I am building with burbank in Aurora at stage 14, anyone building at this stage? MAy I ask, so far is there case in Aurora that land was not released according to plan (as advised by VicUrban)? Cheers, tort Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 47Sep 29, 2009 8:19 pm Hi Tort, My husband and I are building in stage 14 in Aurora. Things are going relatively well with the build. We are almost at frame stage. I don't understand what you mean by "land was not released according to plan (as advised by VicUrban)" Wondering Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 48Sep 29, 2009 8:35 pm hi wondering, vicurban said land will be released next year mar 10, thus we r sigining contruction contract this dec in order to get the fhbg. thus just need to know whether any land release dates have been delayed before? stage 14? your land is released? am building at tourmaline drive tort Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 49Sep 29, 2009 9:00 pm I'd love to know what land prices are like in Aurora these days....I know I should just head up to the Discovery Pavillion, but can't be bothered.
So what did everyone pay for their block? Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 54Sep 29, 2009 9:40 pm Tort, I'm sorry. No, I'm not in Stage 14 (that's my daughter's stage). We're in Stage 10. Our land release date was originally October 2008 and then Feb/Mar 2009, then May/June 2009 - titles were finally registered in June 2009. Sorry once again. Maybe my signon should be "Confused". Wondering Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 56Sep 30, 2009 1:39 pm Jersey is nice... Spoke to Vic Revenue Office today, they said a 26 weeks extensionwill be given if land release date is delayed and affected FHBG. However, subject to approval, depend on the evidence you produced. On the other VicUrban is saying, is a definitely "ok" as that was what they have been told by the office. 12 lots left for stage 14 in Aurora... Tort Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 60Oct 04, 2009 5:09 pm oztish I'd love to know what land prices are like in Aurora these days....I know I should just head up to the Discovery Pavillion, but can't be bothered. So what did everyone pay for their block? Ours is 455sqm and we paid $105K Oztish, i paid $160k for a 540m2 block in Stage 13. Prices have definitely been up and up each stage. Stage 14 is more expensive again. I personally would have prefered Stage 14 if not for the price increase and lack of decent sized north facing lots. However, Lyndarum lots are even more expensive and so are Summerhill lots. I personally think Aurora lots are the best value around Epping North if you take into account the prices we are paying and the inclusions we get, plus what VicUrban has planned for the Aurora estate.
