Browse Forums Building A New House Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2363Jan 25, 2012 8:50 pm With all due respect they are just crappy little temporary looking signs. The Lyndarum & Summerhill ones are stylish and permanent looking. All the other estates in the area seem to be trying at least! Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2364Jan 28, 2012 10:49 am I agree. The signage for Aurora is less than appealing, although it's difficult when the junction between Aurora and the neighbouring estate is someone's back fence - hard to put a big sign up along Rockfield St for example...and other estates seem to share their boundary with the main roads (Lyndarum along O'Herns/Epping Road, Summerhill along Craigieburn Road). I also think our street lighting is ugly and the bioswales and the scrub looking nature strips are hideous, but that's just my opinion. Finally, the other ones were 6 months old. Looks like the intersection just north of Camoflauge Drive/Edgars Road will have traffic lights. I guess thats the major-ish road that shows up on the master plan. I think there is supposed to be a school there so that makes sense. Looking good They're all residential blocks so far, not being done by VU, it's not part of Aurora. The town centre is supposed to go on the other side of Cotters Rd, but I'm not expecting it to start for a few years yet. This company has a sign on the corner of the development block: http://www.stylecraftbuilders.com.au/?page_id=130. Although, looking at their website it looks like the strip along O'hearns rd at the corner of cotters rd will be a commercial development - but it's 5 offices, a restaurant and a takeaway on the plans, not really a shopping centre. Looking at the website you provided, it looks like stylecraft is a builder not a estate developer, so the land might well still be part of VU/Aurora. If it's indeed stylecraft the developer, I am not sure if it has something to do with this : http://www.places.vic.gov.au/cs/Satelli ... 6149683332 The easy way to confirm is just go to the sales office to query It is not going to be a shopping center as they have stated in the general meeting, it'll be just like what you said. Edit: The road layout looks identical to the VU master plan (http://www.aurora.asn.au/photo-gallery/?pid=18 left hand side of cotters rd are all residential, the commercial area is on the right), so I believe it's part of Aurora. LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2373Feb 04, 2012 7:39 am The ACA website recently posted that a post office box has FINALLY been installed at Lyndarum shops, which is great news! http://www.aurora.asn.au/2012/02/post-box/ Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2374Feb 06, 2012 2:51 pm Well, I got moved to one of the new providers recently and have noticed that the speeds are great compared to Arise. Also as an added bonus, I was able to keep my key to the cabinet so I've got access just like before. I asked the contractor doing the install why he wasn't changing the locks and it turns out that us 'older' guys have cabinets that 'too difficult' to change the locks on. Further to this those of you who have Foxtel connected and have the HD channels, can you please see if you've lost access to some of them. This happened to me when the change over occurred. I've logged a call the with Place Vic FTTH team and Foxtel. I just want an idea if it's just me or if we are all affected. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2375Feb 06, 2012 5:12 pm Hi fellow Epping North residents. We are looking at organizing our landscaping and decking. I would be very appreciative of any recommendations of good decking or landscaping work done - including building a BBQ. Oh, before anyone asks, we are in Lyndarum not Aurora so landscaping is our own responsibility. Thanks. I warned them 3 ~ 4 months ago, they did nothing about it, and surprise surprise..... Car accident at the intersection of Rockfield/redding today! It's a real shame that they had warning from a concerned resident and ignored it. I hope no one was seriously hurt. Maybe next time tell them that the sign was erected by a resident without a permit - watch how quickly it would come down Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2379Feb 09, 2012 7:56 pm That's 3 accidents at that intersection now, Damo...and that last one (the one before this one was pretty bad)...
