I am sure I am not the only one looking forward to getting some exercise and fresh air on the bike. This morning I copped an earful for daring to be on the road (not breaking any road rules) at the same time the driver of a white SUV wanted to be. I hope to see more of you out there. In case you are interested, there is a Whittlesea Bicycle Users Group (BUG). It has frequent social rides: http://www.whittleseabug.org.au/ Thanks dougal_s I will take a look at it. Do you get a chance to ride around here much? No worries. I actually cycle commute to the CBD most days. I sometimes do weekend rides though, mostly along the bike pth along the freeway. My husband rides to/from the CBD every day. We're the ones who were always whingeing to the local paper in winter over the state of the roads. I can't believe some of the crappy treatment he receives from motorists. One night recently he was riding along O'Herns road and some people leaned out of their car and egged him! I also ride to the CBD. That sounds terrible that someone egged him. I hope he reported them to the police. I find the motorist here to be not too bad. Most incidents seems to be more of a lack of attention than malice. But sadly there are people out there with anger management issues.... Now he's commuting to Eliz St in the City so around 50 minutes. Have you followed anyone north up Great Brome Ave from Ohern's road? I have not seen one car yet managed to keep it between the white lines in that wiggly bit. Unbelievably lazy drivers. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2355Jan 11, 2012 7:23 pm Wokwon - you've hit on one of my pet peeves! I always stay in the wiggly lines AND I come to a complete stop at the stop sign...something that always annoys the person behind me. I think about 1 in 20 cars actually stops there, just like at Redding Rise/Rockfield Street -someone's going to die at that intersection one day - people fly along Redding Rise and just go to sail through Rockfield. I had to nag council for months just to get the stop sign re-erected there after it got hit by a car and disappeared for ages. OK rant over Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2356Jan 13, 2012 8:02 am oztish OK rant over I nearly bought one of those townhouses on the corner there but AVJennings offered no options at all, you couldn't even choose colours. Glad I didn't now as the traffic noise would have been bad. On the other hand, I'd have a house now rather than the 13 month titling delay I've got right now. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2357Jan 13, 2012 8:37 pm Does anyone know much about the tennis courts? I took a walk past the other night and noticed that they are not locked and the lights can be turned on from a button on the big control box outside. Can anyone use these or do you need to be a member? Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2359Jan 14, 2012 6:51 am oztish Moving2Epping - Anyone can use them. Thanks oztish.
