For those who building with them, you won't have a choice on the exposed-aggregate concrete driveway colour. They would only offer the nature colour although their display house has a charcoal colour. I gather nature is a beige-y colour? That is not Burbank's fault. The estate decides the colour. We didn't have a choice either. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 1164Jan 28, 2011 4:01 pm aurorafrog Just share some information I got from Burbank's colour selection. Perhaps it depends on whether it's VicUrban (or its subcontractors) or Burbank (or its subcontractors) do the driveway... Well, in the early stages of Aurora, that's the case. But I have been told by VicUrban they had loosen up the policy for the newer stages and allowing different colour choice and material. And they are just not willing to do multiple colours. Even for one colour, they don't provide sample either. The reason, according to what they said, is because the actual final product is always different to the sample. I don't know what 'natural colour' is and they can't describe it either . My guess it'll depend on the pebble they use. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 1169Jan 29, 2011 8:30 am hi everybody, I'm a long time observer of the forums (trying to keep track of any updates on the appauling state of the internet services here in aurora), but this is my first time posting. I live on shields street, and there are frequently trucks that drive up and down the street, and cover my car in dust. to the point that i have given up on washing it because it would look exactly the same in 2 days, and i can't afford/don't have the time to wash it every other day. It's annoying, but understandable because the trucks are doing a job around here. Their intent is not bad when covering my car in dust. However, I find it really frustrating (and it's also illegal) when I wake up to go to work on a saturday morning to find my car has been egged! Did anybody else around the southern end of shields street or just generally the aurora area wake up this morning to find a nasty surprise like mine? It's not even funny. I don't know how people find doing this kind of thing amusing. I'm currently living with my parents because i am still a student, but i'm looking forward to moving out and leaving this estate because of some of the idiots around here (i know that many, if not all of you on this board are not those idiots ), and also because of the state of the digital services to the properties. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 1170Jan 29, 2011 8:47 am dinesy91, mate you get idiots everywhere unfortunately. Usually they grow up. I've been told by the time my house starts building everything with comms will be fully functional so doesn't worry me too much at this stage but I can understand frustrations. Lucky we're not allowed to have guns in Australia - if I saw anyone egging someone's house/car I'd shoot them. Scumbags. And let's not blame all the young people in Aurora. My son is 18 and he's a gorgeous young man and wouldn't dare think of doing anything so despicable. You just need to give the bank (if financed by them) your occupancy permit so it proves you have moved in. Otherwise you will probably need to send it to the SRO Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 1175Jan 29, 2011 9:03 pm myhomie I've been told by the time my house starts building everything with comms will be fully functional so doesn't worry me too much at this stage but I can understand frustrations. If that was vicurban telling you that don't get your hopes up too high. My experience has been that either their project managers are incompetent when it comes to planning ahead or their sales people are ****** to you. When we asked them in Sept 09 when our block would be ready they told us end of October, when we asked in October they said early December, we got it at the end of March. They told us in November that our landscaping would be done before Christmas, they still haven't started, at the same meeting at the start of November they said we'd have comms by the end of November too, then got a letter from them just before Christmas saying we'd be connected in mid-January... we're still waiting... I'm not trying to be negative or discourage you, just trying to say the reality isn't always as good as their marketing. We moved in early november 2010 and was told a provider would be in place by the end of the month. Now end of January and nothing.
