Browse Forums Building A New House Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2794Sep 25, 2014 7:31 pm Lyndarum and Summerhill would not be out because their carrier would not be Places Victoria. I have had a conversation with iPrimus and all they can say is that PV is trying to identify the problem. This is not good enough! I am sure we are all being disadvantaged and are loosing money. I suggest that you hound PV and if you don't get through, to email and phone Mathew guy's office and to also put in a complaint with the Telecommunications Ombusman. This has been going on too long. We need a resolution. Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2795Feb 02, 2015 5:42 pm Hi, Steve is my name. My wife and I are just waiting on title stage 25 of Aurora Estate in Wollert, Melbourne. Title due by March. Actually, only thing left on stage completion is bobcat of top soil and resurveying. The house is being built by Simonds Homes and we have signed everything and been to gallery. Really just waiting on title and then let the game begin. I have lots of ideas to make this a nice house and our last house before retirement. Just building a 3 bed house, single storey on 16 metre wide block, 30 metres deep roughly as it is not 100% regular shape. Pretty level block with 2m easement along rear boundary. I am keeping fingers crossed that the project will run smoothly. I know a little about building from being a builder's labourer a number of years ago and from building 2 extensions and a double garage myself as an owner builder on my last house. I am living in a caravan now so I can't wait for the show to begin. I have done a far amount of research so am aware of some of the traps building with a project builder. Wish me luck! Lot 2509 Kenmare Approach Wollert (No 7 Kenmare eventually) Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2796Feb 03, 2015 9:29 am goody59 Hi, Steve is my name. Lot 2509 Kenmare Approach Wollert (No 7 Kenmare eventually) Hi Steve. Good luck on your build! We are also building on stage 25, and i think we are just a stone's throw away as we are on strathalbyne chase. What is the latest you have from the Developer? I have read a few issues regarding Internet connection, and is a bit worried what type of connection we will be whenever we move there. Developer says that we have NBN and we have options. But as far as this forum is concerned, most of the guys are having issues. Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2797Feb 03, 2015 10:56 am macky1012 goody59 Hi, Steve is my name. Latest as of last week from Sales office Aurora is they are saying March for title but there is still a possibility that end of Feb may be when. I have signed with Simons Homes for our build and have done contracts and gallery already. I just need a title. My first choice was Strathalbyne but then changed mid stream to get an East facing block but slightly irregular so our change created some issues re house siting. Oh well. I am sure we all face lots of challenges and decisions. I like our location though. It will be handy once Edgars Road goes through in about 5 years. Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2798Feb 23, 2015 8:32 pm Macky1012, Land Title for stage 25 at Aurora should be only a couple of weeks away I believe. I can't wait to get soil test and land contour survey done and then the building begining. I looked last Friday and the surveyor's pegs were still not in place. Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2799Mar 01, 2015 9:23 pm Hi Guys (Goody & Macky) I 'm in stage 25 too, just been to Aurora office today and entitlement is likely to be end of march. I assume that you guys would have seen Rainwater garden/patch (outside house main entrance) in neighborhood area. The are usually in plan for every 5th house in stage 25. I went to see the site and found that it does narrow the street from both end. I am little concerned of having it on my block. Just wondering if you are aware of any pros and cons of such thing ? Thanks Hi there, I know what you refer too but other than a traffic management idea (slow traffic) I can't think of any other pros except for some drainage function I guess. Having one outside your house will limit parking outside your house but it only means parking either side of your own place instead. I am at no 7 or four houses from the southern end of Kenmare Approach on west side of road and close to the T intersection so parking outside my place is limited as well. Have you already established a builder and building contract and will start building as soon as you have title? If so who will be your builder? All the best with your build.
