How much compensation do you think we should get? I suggest that you all ring Mathew Guy's office the next time this happens. Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2775Sep 06, 2014 9:12 am wondering Have you all got connection? How much compensation do you think we should get? Yeah, it's back. Not sure how much for the compensation, don't think it'll be much, my guess will be ( (your monthly fee) / (billing cycle total days) ) * (number of outage days) But will find out when ring them up on Monday. Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2776Sep 08, 2014 10:13 am Just what I thought for the compensation: On my plan which internet monthly costs is $44.50, the four days downtime compensation is (44.50/30)X4 = 5.93, so they round it to $6 for the credit. Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2777Sep 08, 2014 10:57 am Guys, The Iprimus service mite be back but the speeds at peak times are horrible. Do yourself a favour and go to www.speedtest.net and run the speed test. Do this at various times of the day. You will find that at off peak times (ie 2am - 5am) the speeds are actually ok. Im getting download speeds of 80-95 Mbps which is about whats expected from a 100M connection. But run the test any peak time...say anytime between 7pm to 11pm as an example, the speed drops right down and becomes very inconsistent. I get speeds of anywhere between 10-40Mbps during these times which is totally unacceptable. Iprimus will initally try to tell you that this is jut normal congestion, which is not true. I had the same issues going back 3 months ago and after chucking a stink, it was fixed. But eversince this last outage, its gone back to crap. Im seriously thinking of changing to iinet. Can anyone comment on iinet speeds during peak hours? (especially those with 100M connections). Cheers. AK Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2778Sep 08, 2014 11:11 am I've got $40 credit from iPrimus for the downtime, but spent about $100 for the Telstra dongle. I am not going to pay my next bill or move to iiNet. @AK1976 .. I also feel that iPrimus is throttling the speed.. @Work we have 10 mbps connection and its much faster than my 100 mbps connection at home. Anybody can share their experience with iiNet. cheers, ST Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2779Sep 08, 2014 11:32 am smart I've got $40 credit from iPrimus for the downtime Which Iprimus plan are you in? Did you get that $40 credit for the four days downtime or something else? Re: LYNDARUM/AURORA/SUMMERHILL ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2780Sep 08, 2014 1:23 pm a thought on the speed, if you have $$, sign up to both iPrimus & iiNet might get you 200Mbps bandwidth?
