Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 17, 2009 12:30 pm Just got the tender back last week and it has jumped just over 30K than what we thought due to overlooked On site detention reqd. by Ryde council but also due to the 4x10m alfresco price increasing to 45K.
We are on a downsloping block so the rear alfresco is about 1.5m up in the air. The rest of the house is on Bearers and Joists and the original plan was for the same with the alfresco but they have now priced for the Alfresco to be suspended concrete construction. Any ideas why the alfresco would need to be suspended concrete? Maybe a waterproofing issue as we plan to use the below area for storage? Seems a little pricey to me.
