I am building a Cordova One with McDonald Jones in the new Calderwood Valley Estate which is located approximately 15 minutes south of Wollongong, NSW. The land is nearing registration, so should have some progress to show before long!

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently building a house with homebuyers centre in WA.
I have had an overall good experience with homebuyers so far, my build seems to have gone quite smoothly.
The only major complaint I have about homebuyers is their inability to keep you up to date with your build!
We receive "update e-mails" at each stage of the build however these e-mails are ALWAYS late. i.e. you get the e-mail telling you brickwork is about to commence AFTER your brickwork is already halfway done.
I tried to contact them asking for an estimated completion date to try and book time off work and they were unhelpful. Basically I've had little to no contact with them keeping me update which is very disappointing.
My other friends who have built with different builders have had a client liaison officer which e-mails them every week to let them know what has bee done and what is scheduled. Other builders also have client website logins to see the progress and chat with the builders. My build is pretty much finished now and still I am just waiting for someone to contact me to let me know what's going to happen next so I can at least have a chance to get some time off work.
Very disappointing on the communication front!
