I've been lurking on the site for a while as we've been trying to build a house but its been a long drawn out process. I've finally managed to get my act together and put it in a blog, so here it is http://sydneyhills.blogspot.com if you want to add it to your list. Would it be possible to track back through the thread and add the member name next to their blog?? Might make it easier to find if you want to look at someone specifics blog - rather than scrolling down trying to remember the builder/blog name etc. Especially as we now have sooo many great blogs in your great thread!

Unfortunately, I don't have all of the names, so I would ask that (if you care) you check the list and make sure your entry is ok. Of course, if you have a blog and it's not on the list, then post reply here! In case you are wondering, the list is in the order that I was notified of the blog. Cheers Re: Home Building Blogs 149Dec 15, 2007 9:52 am Having trouble keeping up to date with all the blogs?
Now you can get daily updates all in one place - Check this out from Matt Walker: http://mattwalker.id.au/blogs.html Matt - feel free to add more info! I'm looking to change my template but the new template does not have the "Add a page element" on the sidebar(well it's there but i can't be used) - only at the bottom of the page. I don't want to lose my web/blog links, site meter etc, so need some help to tweek it... Plus the dashboard/sign in options are not available on the top of the page either...not that big a deal but while i'm tweekin.....i'll try to resolve that too. Is there anyone that can help me???? Re: Home Building Blogs 156Jan 02, 2008 3:05 pm Hi Perry, well i want to use this template:
http://www.finalsense.com/services/blog_templates/deer_template.htm But i want it to have the features on the sidebar of my current blog and it doesn't have it written in the html code??? http://www.herestohealthwealthandhappiness.blogspot.com/ If you're the expert, can you possibly check them both out and let me know if it is achievable or what i have to transpose to make it work???? Thanks heaps... ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: Home Building Blogs 157Jan 02, 2008 3:17 pm ![]() Does anyone have a good understanding of editing a blogger template in html???? I believe that there's some functions that you lose when you don't use a set blogger template. Having said that, if you want to use a different non-blogger template you cut and paste the HTML code for the template you want. And then you would cut and paste/insert the relevant blogger tags within that HTML body to get your posts, comments, link etc. where you want them to appear. Thanks Missy, i know i've been playing with it for over an hour today but can't get it right.....sometimes i lose the outer border around the body or side-bar text or else it just doesn't work at all... When i upload and preview the template it has the add page element on the side but it won't let you click to add the element on the side, only at the bottom.... ![]() ![]() ![]() I just need to activate that and then i'll add the other widgets myself as i did with the other template. Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgggghhhhh it's sooo frustrating.... am i asking the impossible perhaps??????????? Re: Home Building Blogs 159Jan 02, 2008 10:52 pm Woooooo Hoooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
My new look blog is nearly finished...... I've been at this all afternoon and i think i'm about 90% happy with the way it looks.... Need to tweek some colours, which are proving troublesome.. I will try to revert it back to the original template - update the colours then carry them across and see if that works... Hope you like it....feel free to leave me some feedback on your thoughts... ![]() ![]() Re: Home Building Blogs 160Jan 03, 2008 9:43 am ![]() Woooooo Hoooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
