Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 13, 2009 5:45 am Hi all.....
We are almost at lock up stage on a Burbank two storey. They can't give us an idea of completion as yet. Just curious, those of you that have built/building two storeys - how long did it take you to get from lockup to completion, and who was your builder? Thanks. No probs T&E This thread has been a bit quiet Maybe they are still being built. Re: Two storey time scales - from lockup to completion? 6Mar 16, 2009 12:10 pm Becster We're at lock up as of this Friday just gone 13 March. Builder says June or July for handover "not August" (direct quote). Hope that helps Great - thanks. I reckon we'll be locked up by around end of next week. So, maybe we'll have handover early July. We just got a new supervisor last week, I think I'll ask for a meeting with him next week, once he's had time to get properly into our job, and see what he thinks time-wise. He should have an idea by then? Re: Two storey time scales - from lockup to completion? 7Sep 18, 2009 10:45 pm Can anyone that has finished building a two storey house let me know the length of time from slab pour to handover? Iām trying to work out if we will be finished before our wedding. If you can let me know what builder you were with, that would be a help too. Thanks. . Slab pour was 29th January and we handed over on August 13th. It should have been about 6 weeks earlier than this but they got held up right at the end waiting for glass balustrades & splashbacks to be made.
