I have a problem what to do I have got a tender back on my block for a single storey home? Builder told us 1.8m fall over house Need drop edge beams ( we knew this ) Need to but in 10 steps thru the house 5 from gargae to house dan 5 from hallway to living space Need retaining walls ALL FOR THE GRAND TOTAL OF $50k I need to settle on land in 1 week do you think its worth extending ( already have this will be the 2nd time) Do i get a tender from dif builder ? Do you think that all the houses will become split level ? I was advised by this builder to look else where. If you delay settlement beyond the completion date on the front of the contract, the vendor is entitled to charge you default interest, usually calculated on about 10% pa on the balance of the purchase price, every day until you settle.
