Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 10, 2009 11:08 am Hi - we are about to go to site with Plantation (building the Empire - original/old style floor plan) and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for site superivsers. We are building in Narangba so north brisbane would be great. Also, any feedback on what to keep an eye out for etc. We are first time builders so everything is new to us!
Maranda Re: Plantation site supervisers - BRIS north 2Mar 10, 2009 4:21 pm we built with plantation in north lakes. we had 7 supervisors and most were duds , the one good one we had has left the company so i cant help you much sorry. i know their then construction managaer was no good. we moved in last August.
if you need or want any info or contacts we used send me a pm, im happy to tell you anything i know from building with them. one of their brickies lives 2 doors down. i would pay regular (read daily) site visits if i were you as the supervisors werent on top of a lot of the issues that came up. eg cut wires about to be sheeted, no insulation in walls that were being cladded, wires covered up. We started out trying to be friendly and understanding but by the end we found out if you arent whinging they arent listening. its hard to do but it is the only way to get them to listen. the empire is a fantastic house hope it goes well Re: Plantation site supervisers - BRIS north 3Mar 10, 2009 4:24 pm sorry but the house we built (castella) turned out really well and we couldnt be happier with it. We had a leak in the alfresco roof but the came out straight away and fixed it.
