We are doing the electrical plan. Just wondering if we need to add some powerpoints in the front yard in case when we need to install some footpath lights along the path to the entrance...

So just get the sparky to make allowance for future lighting in the front yard and he will run a feed and terminate it in a junction box. ready to go when you do finally decide to install lights. Depends where your switch board is. obviously it doesn't make any sense to run a new circuit to a location right next to the switchboard.
