i always thought loft would go well with your bricks because they will look good with both purple and brown. i agree you need the light fascia first to break it up and also to tie in your windows. would you think of cream garages again with loft roof, cream fascia and dark brown timber doors (to tie in loft) - either way your brick, loft and cream all look good together Re: Loft - Colorbond Roof ....Help Needed! 22Mar 10, 2009 1:51 pm Looken good Thorney Looken real good! Hey Mud...thanks for taking the time to do the visualiser. I've played with it heaps of times, but as l said before, the Loft on it looks extrememly purple (to me anyway, lol)... the bricks are a wee bit red too.... Gosh l love those garage doors though, wish l didn't have to get rid of them ah well. Thanks again mud Re: Loft - Colorbond Roof ....Help Needed! 28Mar 10, 2009 8:37 pm Thats ok -
we have those garage doors - They look great with brownish bricks Re: Loft - Colorbond Roof ....Help Needed! 30Mar 13, 2009 7:12 am I will have it for you this afternoon.
I had an appointment on Wednesday, and it has carried over to this morning, so I had a bit more preparation to do for it yesterday that I wasn't expecting. This afternoon! I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Loft - Colorbond Roof ....Help Needed! 31Mar 13, 2009 1:32 pm I have not forgotten, but I have not long been home from my appointment and I have to pick DS up from school so I won't get there today. I have to go out that way tomorrow so I'll have it then. Sorry. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. No worries mate....thanks Thanks also Suh and themax for your endorsements Re: Loft - Colorbond Roof ....Help Needed! 35Mar 14, 2009 1:02 pm Finally, here they are!!!
Sorry Thorney, it is completely crappy weather here in Melbourne today so the overcast sky will affect the colour. When it is sunny I will go back and get some more. This is an Orbit Homes display in Tarneit. They have teamed it with Dune and have really brought out the eggplant by using that colour on the portico beam and also the stacked stone. I've never seen eggplant stackeed stone before! I took the pics from 3 different angles and distances. Absolutely stunning in person!! http://i519.photobucket.com/albums/u353/joles_photo/2009-03-14_11-30-19_14032009658.jpg http://i519.photobucket.com/albums/u353/joles_photo/2009-03-14_11-31-59_14032009660.jpg http://i519.photobucket.com/albums/u353/joles_photo/2009-03-14_11-30-53_14032009659.jpg I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Wow, the roof come up really light...almost grey even and it was overcast too The home looks nice enough and l love the eggplant stackstone, it's gorgeous....but it's very hard to say how it's gonna look with my bricks, as this home is rendered and has none of the other colours or features l'm using or would consider using. Not that l expected it to! lol....and maybe that's why it has thrown me. ...oh god, l dunno now Thank you so much for taking the time to do the pics.....l'd still love to see some pics of it in the sunlight. No rush honestly, and please don't go out of your way! And please if anyone else has seen a loft house, please take a pic or two!! Re: Loft - Colorbond Roof ....Help Needed! 37Mar 15, 2009 7:09 am Thorney, the house next to it has Woodland Grey and that came up looking quite light as well. So that might give you a guage on how light/dark it actually is.
There is Loft on a JG King display in Doreen as well. Not sure what that house looks like though as far as brick and trim go. Can any of the Mernda crew help out with a pic??? If not, I can swing past there on my way to Wallan next time. Honestly, it is no problem to get the pics. I love Monument, and was desperate to see it on a house. I understand how stressed you are and how important it is to actually see it on a house when you are making such a big decision. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Loft - Colorbond Roof ....Help Needed! 38Mar 15, 2009 7:24 am Just new the the forum thorney, I can feel your agony in choosing. We are only at slab stage but had roof colours narrowed down to woodland grey, loft or monument. At our colour selection appointment monument was the no brainer for us (our bricks are ripponlea - boral). We have not seen any monument colours around in Shepparton but we just got a really good feeling. I will look out for some Loft roofs here and keep my camera handy.
Good luck Re: Loft - Colorbond Roof ....Help Needed! 39Mar 15, 2009 10:36 am Ah ok....the Woodland Grey is a fairly dark colour too isn't it? It too looks light in the pics....maybe it's just the angles the pics are taken from then?
Oh yes! I'd love to see a pic of the JG King display home at Doreen....hopefully someone from that way will be kind enough to post a pic. So did you manage to see a few houses or pics with Monument, seeing that it came out the same time as Loft? And did you end up choosing it in the end. Good luck hey Mundie....welcome to the forum Dunno if you read the entire thread, but we are going with the Rippponlea too! Seeing that you had narrowed down your roof to Loft and Monument....what made you go with Monument? Though l have seen a house with Ripponlea with either Night Sky or Monument it was hard to tell, and it really looked great. So l can understand why you went Monument, just want to know if there was anything in particular about Loft that put you off. What are colour gutter/fascia/windows are you having? Congrats on getting to slab stage....I can't wait to see once the bricks and roof go up! Will be following you build very closely now, lol...so keep the pics coming won't ya Oh and thanks for offering to have a look out for Loft roofs in your area ....the more pics l can get the better.....one day l'm certain it'll all be fine and the next l'm doubting again.....it is indeed an agonising process! Thankfully, l have a little bit of time up my sleeve to change things in need be. I hope l don't have to though...DH would have a fit! Your house roof does not show rusting other than some surface rust on the flashings. In my opinion you dont need to replace or paint the roof other than treat surface rust… 1 10208 You should pressure clean your roof first and make sure the paint you buy also is anti mould. 4 18563 |
