Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 07, 2009 12:17 pm We are meeting with our representative from our building company tomorrow, this will be our second meeting with him. At our first meeting we picked a house plan that we liked, suggested some things that we would like to change and he went away and made those changes and we are getting another look at the plans tomorrow.
What things should we be looking for on our plans, we are completely new to this, and in the space of about 3 weeks we have gone from not even thinking about building a house to having an offer on a piece of land and talking about house plans with builders. Also what questions should we be asking, what info do I need to know so I dont end up spending lots more $$$ than we think we are going to? It is all very exciting, but completly overwhelming and scary! Re: What should we be looking for & what questions should we 2Mar 07, 2009 2:12 pm hi! we were bout the same 2 months back but now we've learnt, researched and some friends and this forum has helped out .. we're comparing all our tenders against this list to see if anything is being missed, not costed or included as an allowance that can go up or down later .. let me know if you don't understand things in here ..
