It has been some time since I looked at the forum and there are some lovely photos. I am glad everything seems to be going OK for everyone. Wow BoulevardBuilder - your house looks great. Love the bathroom tiles. The contrast with the wall colour and cornices is lovely. You must be very happy with your choices, it all looks fantastic. Our house is cruising along, (apart from the Christmas/New Year slump). We had the bath put in yesterday - still no front door and no ceiling in the alfresco, verandah and eaves. They came and measured for the roller doors a couple of weeks ago, but we haven't seen anything come yet. They did take away the skip today though - and put an empty one in its place. We have no idea what comes next. When do the walls get painted? I gather that nothing else really gets done inside until the house can be locked up...am I right? This is all new to us, and we really have no idea. I wanted to post some photos - but am having no end of trouble. I can post to my blog, but I struggle to get them here. Sorry, I will keep trying when I am not so tired. Would you be my pacing partner? 277Jan 20, 2010 4:00 pm AndyStew, your house is coming along well (just checked out your blog). Like you I'm not all that sure of the processes, yet, looking at your house I was surprised to see that had put in the bath and laundry trough before lock up. (I know, I know, it's not like someone could just pick up a bath and walk out with it, but it's still stuff inside your house that could get damaged by those having a sticky beak). Are you looking forward to lock up taking place? We were locked out yesterday and now I just wish I could get inside. Would you be my pacing partner? 278Jan 20, 2010 8:33 pm TamDaz, we too thought it was a bit odd - but hey, we really have no idea about all of this. But...as of today, we are officially locked out. We went there late this afternoon, and the front door is on and the shoppers entry door is also on. So technically speaking, we are now locked out. It will be difficult to go there all the time (we are only living 5 minutes away) - and not be able to get inside to see how it is all going. We will just have to look through the windows.
