Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 05, 2009 7:58 am Hi all,
My estate requires that the house needs to be partially rendered, so my builder quoted me $1700 for partial rendering. I got two questions to ask here, 1. Do I have to partially render the front of the home, or can I do the entire front ? Area would be a maximum of 30sqm. 2. What are good third parties in the northern suburbs of Melbourne who can render the house ? And how much do you think it'd cost ? Thanks Re: Cost to use a 3rd party to render your home ? 3Mar 05, 2009 3:42 pm I'd save the fuss and just do it through builder. Built the Atlantique 37 Mk2 with Carlisle Homes - WE'RE IN!! If the render is a covenant, the placement and colour of the render will be part of the plan that PD have to submit for developer approval.
There may be a way around it, such as submitting a seperate plan with your render and having to have it applied after handover but before you occupy. Best to talk to the developer. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Cost to use a 3rd party to render your home ? 5Mar 05, 2009 6:10 pm Joles, you're always the one with great ideas
Can you please PM of who I should speak to about this ? I'm sick of my SC's whinging about anything I want to change Thanks Edited: Never mind, it doesn't hurt to ask him. It's his job to handle such enquiries. If he doesn't like it, then too bad . Sometimes I have to use this attitude when I have to, although I'm not the rude type of people. Re: Cost to use a 3rd party to render your home ? 6Mar 05, 2009 8:27 pm Here in SA we where quoted about $50 per square mtr to render. Much cheaper then getting the builder to do it. We already paid for somfy motors for the blinds. The quote above was purely for “pre-wiring” so the blinds company can install the motors and blinds. That’s why we… 5 16275 That sucks! Hope it all works out. Good to move away from steel anyway for all your reasons, but it's also thermally poor. 16 17871 If what you describe is correct then the brick wall has been dry lined with villa board. That basically means that the villa board is glued to the brick wall with… 3 8310 |
