Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 02, 2009 3:27 pm Hi, just wondering, is anyone else building (or waiting) to build a house in stage 3 of Franklin?
We bought a block in the stage 3 ballot last year, and are still waiting (im)patiently for word on when we can start building. Re: Anyone building in Franklin Stage 3 (ACT)? 2Mar 02, 2009 7:47 pm Hello neighbour! Not Stage 3, but we are now building in Stage 2- we waited a year between signing up for a house and land package after the final Stage 2 ballot until the block was released by the LDA. Cheers. We bought our block in May 2008 and are yet to hear about settlement, so looks like we may have a few more months to wait... Re: Anyone building in Franklin Stage 3 (ACT)? 5Mar 11, 2009 10:08 am Moodyfish We paid the deposit on May 19th to build in stage 3!! have heard from ppl that our land might be released in april end- may!!! So exciting! Apr/May? Jeez. Who'd you hear that from? We spoke to the LDA last month and they reckoned March, but since it's already March 11 and we havent heard anything Apr/May sounds depressingly feasible. Re: Anyone building in Franklin Stage 3 (ACT)? 7Mar 13, 2009 3:59 pm .. Waves.... We are stage 3 (section 101) and I spoke to the LDA two weeks ago and was told late May / early June for crown lease registration and land ready. Things are moving along now and it is starting to feel a bit more real now that there is roads, gutters etc. We are going to be pushing to have our slab laid by 7 July which is 26 weeks after we signed the buildign contract to get the FHOG bonus. Fingers crossed! I note the soil tests for up to sections 99 are done and on the LDA website. Re: Anyone building in Franklin Stage 3 (ACT)? 9Mar 15, 2009 8:20 pm Vegemite .. Waves.... We're in 86, which was supposed to be ready between January and March. Went out today and it looks nearly 100% done (all roads, signs, gutters, etc), so hopefully not too long now! Yep late May / early June is right on schedule for our section. Your best bet might be to go visit the display homes and walk around in them, and take photos. Get a feel for it in person instead of deciding from the floor plan.
