[23/04] 100Jul 23, 2009 9:10 am mjl Hey MKR, I am in the same dillema as you, my question is does the wall still look perfect after the second build? Even better did you notice any problems with them building the wall again? Cheers mjl - the wall looks great.. initially we thought the mortar color was different... but we were told to to give it few days to dry off to the same color as the rest of the mortar... which it eventually did... the only problem we noticed after a few weeks was that we had yellow stains on the bricks (the redone part only).. i searched a bit online and found out it was most probably because the bricks weren't washed properly the second time around.. i have raised this in our 3 month inspection and expecting it to be fixed soon... Built PD Beaumont 35 - One year down in the new house.. still so much to do.. The spacing of the studs looks pretty large especially for a load bearing wall. 3 11124 Thanks mate, is there a standard off the shelf type breathable product I can apply DIY? Thanks 2 8222 |
