I doubt that is true however I am happy to speak with the owners tomorrow and get 'the inside story' if it is available... It is more likely consolidating in the tough market that is upon us. Re: Carlisle Atlantique 26Mar 01, 2009 9:54 pm Carlisle has a new office and colour centre in Mulgrave (I think). I know they were closing the Sunshine one during last week and moving everything over to the new one.
We are building with Carlisle too (no I'm not S&P!) and will have our colour appointment soon... so our sales rep has been keeping us in the loop with this. By the way welcome Homey!! I too am building with Carlisle in Alamanda. Will be building the Monaco32 but in stage 7B. By the way we have been advised that our land has been slightly delayed and is now due in July/August. So maybe an August title date might be a bit ambitious for stage 8B?? But then again I am no expert! Building Monaco32 with Carlisle Homes in Alamanda Estate 20/08/2010 - HANDOVER 24/8!! I think a few post have been either delected or edit?!
I'm also building with CH and i went for a colours tour in their Mulgrave office and saw that CH were building a massive showroom across their current office. If people are speculating that CH is going under, then I dont think that is the case. But then again, I wouldnt know. Matt, can you let us know if you find out any info? They have just consolidated some (or all) or their offices into a large new office (as wonderland has said is across teh road from their old Mulgrave one).
I haven't been there yet, but will be in the new couple of weeks. My sales rep says the new office is awesome (but that comes from a Carlisle employee!) Carlisle moved offices from Police Road during our build into a massive new complex in Mulgrave. I guess this was about Oct/Nov 2007. They have been there ever since. Guys...speculation does no one any good. I have sent an email to John D tonight, the owner of Carlisle Homes, and would expect to hear from him tomorrow in regards to this. I will let you know. In the meantime please refrain from any remarks that could be misconstrued as derogatory or defamatory. Cheers, Matt Re: Carlisle Atlantique 30Mar 01, 2009 10:35 pm PS - Awesome is a gross overstatment!!!
Its a nice front with a massive open area and a small colour selection area. It is exactly what they had in their old premises ...just in a larger space! Re: Carlisle Atlantique 31Mar 01, 2009 10:39 pm haha yeh i figured as much! as i said, the remark was by a company employee. i will be able to make a judgement eventually! Yes, we will be neighbours. We popped to the land office at the weekend and were advised stage 8B is still on track for end of August but I'm aware it could overrun by months. Will just have to keep our fingers crossed! Re: Carlisle Atlantique 34Mar 02, 2009 12:48 pm ooh hopefully mine a before august then! Basically they had planned ahead to create one large head office, therefore they had the intention to merge. Their financial position is okay I believe. You guys would be right, they now have a massive colour showroom in their Mulgrave office.
Matt, is this what you were told? Built the Atlantique 37 Mk2 with Carlisle Homes - WE'RE IN!! Building thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=14413 ATLANTIQUE 37 MK2 PHOTOS THREAD - updated 22nd August '09 viewtopic.php?f=31&t=22399 changes to floorplan 38Mar 05, 2009 5:32 pm I have just read this discussion and I'd almost forgotten what the original question was. What a lot of paranoid dribble...
Anyway, we did put the sliding door in the rumpus for access to the back yard. It was a great decision. It ended up being a tad expensive because we had to double glaze some windows to maintain our 5 star energy rating due to the orientation of the house... If we didn't add the door, the only access to back yard would be through the aluminium bifolds or the laundry door, neither of which is really suitable. Re: Carlisle Atlantique 39Mar 05, 2009 9:27 pm Thanks Jensta
I didn't even consider the energy rating thing! We definitely want to have back access from the rumpus so I guess we will have to accept the additional costs. I like the idea or being able to see out to the back lawn from the kitchen.[/quote] Re: Carlisle Atlantique 40Mar 05, 2009 10:00 pm Homey_123, take a look at my building thread for photos.
