Ive found them to be quite good, so far no complaints. Although there are other companies out there that offer nicer things as standard whereas homestart cherges extra for them, such as shingle tiled roof, dishwasher recess, tiling to laundry and WC. Let me know if you decide to go with them! good luck! Adam Homestart - Belvedere Hills - Wanneroo Re: Homestart 4Mar 17, 2010 10:48 pm we are currently in the process of the land and house package... as we encountered a slight problem when my husbands company that he is working for went bankrupt and have been told that he has to keep working with them to get approval otherwise we have to wait another six months and that means we may loose our block that we have put an offer on due to the clause of 'unconditional finance approval' by May or when the titles come... but I am believing for the latter and trying to stay positive ARIANA "Put an offer on land in Piara Waters march 2010 RIVA Estate" titles June 2011 Site works 7 July 2011 Our slab is down, walls are up and roof is tiled, electrician in 26/9/11 Re: Homestart 5May 05, 2010 6:32 pm Probably too late now but my partner and I have had a difficult time with Homestart. I can't comment on the product and I am sure that the house and house designs are of a good quality however the sales rep was a total nightmare!! We discovered after getting finance that we weren't able to build that particular house and had decided to go with another builder who was a little bit cheaper as we would of had to cut out all of our inclusions if we went with home start whereas the other company included them with in our budget. As soon as I told her that we weren't continuing she started to threaten and bully me telling me she was going to contact the developer and tell him we didn't want the block and that I had no choice but to go with them and then tried to continue to sell me the house expressing surprise that I knew what a soakwell was and what particular inclusions are. Lucky for us I did my research and found that we were not held to a building contract as we hadn't signed one and that the developer can only act on instructions from myself and my partner as the contract is directly with us and not the builder. Not only that we had signed a pre for plans agreement on the 20th of feb and as at the 5th of May we still have received no information costings drawings or copy of the agreement that was promised. I have not objections to losing my deposit but I would love to know exactly what work they did for that money as they havn't provided us with anything!!! Overall very dissapointed with the sales rep as initially we had found her lovely. i hope your building experience has gone well!! If you want some information check out the product reveiw website I found this site helpfull when trying to choose a builder.

The roof is up and plumbing + electrical has been done. So far it's been fine. Don't have much contact with the CLO but any minor issues have been fixed before I've even had to say anything. Re: Homestart 8Jul 13, 2010 9:21 pm We av had been thru the mill lately with my hubby losing his job, the car accident and then the changes with the key start system where we were told that we were no longer eligible to be able to go through key start so we were told we av a couple of months to save the entire 21k deposit or lose our land... The deadline is looming... But I gave thought whatever will be will be ARIANA "Put an offer on land in Piara Waters march 2010 RIVA Estate" titles June 2011 Site works 7 July 2011 Our slab is down, walls are up and roof is tiled, electrician in 26/9/11 |
