AND 4 weeks later says 'well.. the changes to the plan makes it a custom house' and there would be a new price. (apprx 20K extra) What are my options? Advise/ Thoughts ?? If so, they can change the price anytime they want before you signed the contract. Sh*tmonds new slogan of "We in it together" is so perfect fit, because you be "In the sh*t together" once you signed with them. looks a bit like what we experienced. In our case the magic word was Modified Standard Plan (MSP) which resulted in an increase in costs. Have a read at this topic - Coral Homes mixed feedback. Sorry, I haven't found out how to add a link yet. There is not much you can do about it unless you want to start all over again with another builder. We are still considering that option although we are First Home Buyers and really want to sign a contract before 30-06-09. regards Annelies Wish you all the best.
