Double Storey Perth

Hi Everyone

Have really enjoyed reading the posts on here and find the discussions really interesting. Just had a question about double storey builders in Perth - has anyone had any experience with APG? We have a plan we like from them and another from In-Vogue, the In-Vogue seems bigger but the APG house has more inclusions (painting, essa benchtop, paving in alresco, acrylic render) - would really appreciate any comments/ experiences you might have...

Just wondering if you decided to go with APG and how it went? I am looking at building with them now and just want to know how you felt their service compared to others?

It will be interesting, once you decide, to hear which one you choose and why!

Have heard reasonable things about APG though no reviews yet for either on BB.

Hi - first time poster.

Thought i would respond as we are building a 2 story house in Perth.

"Are building" is the operative term. We signed the contract in 2004. The house is not yet at lock up. The company is supposed to be one of the best in WA - it won house of the year in 2004. That was one of the reasons we signed with them.

We were quoted $500k when we first enquired. The price now is nearly double that and increasing every day with heaps of unrevealed extras. I guess we were naive but what can we do once the contract is signed?

If anyone wants to know the name of a high profile WA company to avoid, please ask!!!

Apparently you would be far from alone if building 2 storey in Perth over the last few years! Have had reviews suggesting 2 years is not uncommon.
