Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 23, 2009 9:08 am We're waiting on getting our site costs back, and I'm just kind of curious for what costs could be ahead of us.
I was wondering if anyone from Perth who have sandy soil with a low number of rocks (I don't think there is any) and a slight slope over the block (that required a cut and fill) that wasn't pre-prepared (eg. like the lots are in Ellenbrook) can tell me what their site costs were? Just so I can get a very general ball park figure? Thank you! Re: Perth Help - General Idea of Site Costs 2Feb 23, 2009 11:10 am I'm not sure if this'll be relevant for you, as I'm building on the coastal plain. Our site's flat, 100% sand. Clearing the 400m2 of the huge old trees, removing roots, rubble, old septic system - $7800 ex GST. 1 m of fill for this site + leveling and compacting + compaction certificate - $3200 ex GST.

PM me if you'd like a pointer.

Re: Perth Help - General Idea of Site Costs 6Feb 23, 2009 5:05 pm Thanks for that Chris, but wouldn't we need to use our builder's people?
Also, thanks for that gweluphome. I'm feeling better now. I was picturing because I didn't have a ready made block like in Ellenbrook since it's in an established area, it was going to cost me about $30,000 alone for site costs (as we were going to pay for replacing fencing and retaining walls ourself as it would be cheaper). I'm not so worried now.... I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13053 You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14077 Is anyone building with Mojo and have a recent site cost tender 0 15930 |
