Apparently this has happened to a stack of people because of a damaged pallet of ovens - Wisdom have had 4 so far (number 5 including you guys). After 4 years - we're in! Re: Providence 24 in Middleton Grange *The End* 302Mar 15, 2010 2:21 pm Yeah, the delivery guy told my that they have had alot of trouble with the doors too. Hope that you get it fixed or replaced soon. Re: Providence 24 in Middleton Grange *The End* 303Mar 17, 2010 9:01 pm We called up Blanco's customer service and was advised that they will send someone out to replace the oven door. Here's a sneak peak at the tiling and lighting that has been happening here. Re: Providence 24 in Middleton Grange *The End* 306Mar 18, 2010 8:06 am Thanks Jose27 & Sanderling37. Luckily the tiler and electrician was a friend, so all it cost was their weekend. My tiler friend also put white silicon where the skirting and tile meet to hide the joint. It makes it look much nicer. How's your place going Sanderling37? They cost more but I think they look much better... The overhead cupboards ok as I can reach the first shelf. Second shelf is for things I dont need. Oh if you're putting in down lights in the foyer get the electrician to make a 2 way switch. 1 at the entry and 1 at the other end. Saves time walking all the way back to the door to turn it off. My friend put that in and I think it's a great idea. Here's a pic of the couch in it's place. As of writing this, our hot water just died. great... I have a 3-way for the void light (front entry, from living areas and upstairs) I'm having some halogens in the entry and over the kitchen sink - but not really a lot of downlights (going for oyster fittings) Love the couch - where from? After 4 years - we're in! Re: Providence 24 in Middleton Grange *The End* 314Mar 19, 2010 8:14 am stonecutter1309 Love the couch - where from? I think the store name is Singway. They have a store in Auburn oppersite the good guys. building1 WOW your floor looks amazing! I love those tiles, it makes the house look so light and airy Thanks building1, there's suppose to be little specs of dots on the tiles, but the camera cant pick it up. Our hot water suddenly returned this morning (luckily) but we cannot explain what happened. Called Wisdom and they were the same, saying there might have been gas problem, but our stove was working. Oh well this mystery will never be solved. I LUUURVE your tiles .... just beautiful When the guy comes to fix your oven door get him to open and shut it a couple of times .... just in case Thanks Pebbles. We have since replaced those curtains with day/night roller blinds. As nice as they were, they just doesnt fit in. Unfortunately we were advised to expect a 4-6 weeks wait for the door, so still have not had the chance to use the oven. I think it's a bit ridiculous since it's brand new and they dont have the part to replace. hills_builder You can try Sydney Blinds and Screens in Prospect. Will definately check them out, thanks for that. Thank you everyone for the kind comments. Will have more updates soon. Thankyou for sharing your experience and I enjoyed reading your blog I was wondering if you find that the kitchen is lacking in natural light. We are thinking of replacing the small window with the larger 600mm option but arn't to sure yet. What is your experience/thoughts with this? cheers katherine Re: Providence 24 in Middleton Grange *The End* 320May 24, 2010 9:28 am Thanks uglygugly. Yes, I do think the kitchen is missing natural lighting but not by much and it depend on which side your kitchen is facing? Our kitchen is on the side where the sun set, so get most light apart from whats coming in from the stacker door. We could have flip our floor plan so that the kitchen would be on the sunrise side, but then we have a double storey house which is block the sun anyway. All in all, I dont mind it that much as the only time I need to switch on the light is when the sun is fully down. 1 thing I wouldnt mind changing is the window in the kitchen because it's quite small and does not open. Would be good to be able to open it for fresh air or when you're cooking.
