Browse Forums Building A New House Re: At least ONE standard or non-upgraded house? 21Feb 22, 2009 10:58 pm I dont think I can have a house with just the standards, there is always something missing for the standard, which makes you upgrade. Like getting doors in hallways etc!
Altho, I am abit worried now that we have upgraded to much and have spent too much on the house. When we decide to sell, we will probably not get it back in the price, and that worries me! We couldn't change the layout, we didnt have a choice of many roof/brick colours/laminates/tiles etc and not able to upgrade any of that anyway. The only thing we have added is a dishwasher space, shower doors, a wardrobe and garage door. The only other thing we could do was put in extra lights (a couple over the bench and an extra one in the alfresco) and p/points. Otherwise everything is standard, it is what we can afford (and what the bank would lend). Our house is mainly built for investor type people hence the reason why there is no upgrades/much choice. Although I love the idea of being able to choose my own tiles, laminate colours and get stone benchtops, as well as being able to alter the floorplan and get everything else on my wishlist this would all come at a cost that would have put a new house way out of reach for us. Salt and Pepper appears to be an old member of homeone that I'd not want to share any information with. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. He likes to start threads under many different guises where it is seemingly collecting info on members. Makes me very uncomfortable given previous history, that's why I posted in here.. What is he trying to gain? Homeone members, I am only here to help people if I can, and gain assistance for myself. I am not here for any other sole purpose, and sorry Joles if I make you feel uncomfortable being with my previous history. As I have already stated, I am not here for any other reason, and I am sorry to any other member if I have made you uncomfortable. This forum has helped me a lot, and I know my past has not been the greatest. Thanks for the understanding. This topic is quite interesting and its good to hear everyone's opinions.
