Our external colours are identical - except my render will be Jasper instead of Dune. Our kitchen colours are identical too - our splashback will end up being Dulux White Duck, but very similar to the Hogs Bristle! Bathroom benchtops are the same but our cupboards are Oyster LInea. Needless to say you have great taste! My karma ran over your dogma Re: Building a PD Brookvale 50 - photos!!!!! 24Feb 21, 2009 7:50 pm Congratulations nh
I can't wait to get up to that stage How much does it cost to upgrade into a better or different wall colour ? I've given it $2000, does that sound about right ? Re: Building a PD Brookvale 50 - photos!!!!! 25Feb 21, 2009 7:53 pm We paid $2200 for the Wattyl ID 3 coat system where you get an extra coat of paint and a wider range of colour choices.
In saying this though there are forum members who didn't have to pay extra to use a wattyl ID colour, but I don't think they got the 3 coats or the ID paint, just the colour... My karma ran over your dogma Re: Building a PD Brookvale 50 - photos!!!!! 26Feb 21, 2009 8:00 pm oh, bel, i know that will put a smile on you, we do have gggggreat taste Dune Dune Dune, i love that colour, hopefully my surfmist lines in the facade and window sill will break up a bit. i love the oyster linea, but give it a second thought about my poor ability of coordinating, chosen polar white - just to make my job simpler to coordinate colour later on also my ground floor tiles including wet area tiles would be that polished pocelain Bianca, i will put up a photo later. so overall, my colour is quite light and may be even a bit dull. will see Re: Building a PD Brookvale 50 - photos!!!!! 28Feb 21, 2009 8:06 pm Hey, iTalk,
i think it's something about $200 per wall - maybe a bit less, but to budget $2-3000 will probably be right. we got a big house, so i thought i will give up. but PD should really take that wording wattle ID as standard paint colour in their booklet - as this is not correct. i would love to use the 3-coat ID system, but it all comes down to budget, it's a nice to have. bel spent extra 2000 something, so it will be in that range Re: Building a PD Brookvale 50 - photos!!!!! 29Feb 21, 2009 8:08 pm What do you mean I'm never here?????
Yeah, I'm too busy serving coffee to Bel, Jo, donuts, Mrs B, Stormy and the like.... Congrats on your start - how exciting! Can't wait to see it take shape - quite different colours (and facade) to mine, so I can't wait to see it go up! Oh. I do have a Dune garage door - love that colour!!! how is the big pantry (remember you added all under bench drawers/cupboards), must be a super room now - especially when serving coffee to fellow forumites? can't wait for my one to go up Re: Building a PD Brookvale 50 - photos!!!!! 31Feb 21, 2009 8:21 pm Pantry is great, thanks...although I had DH add some o/head cupboards as well!!!!! People always look past the kitchen and ask "Oh, is that your laundry?"
My appliance tower is now - FINALLY - beautiful, too! But obviously they have stuffed up something major. I have been wondering where you have been and how things are going??? Do you have any pics for us??? I'm dying to see. Apart from you trench through the house is everything else going well? I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Building a PD Brookvale 50 35Apr 28, 2009 12:15 pm hi, joles thanks for your reply. i have been stuffed in other things - work etc, that's why i haven't been on much at all. i am an idiot in using photos, think i have to to to photobucket first, isn't it? that tranfer from photobuck through some button or ticks? i wil try to do it soon today. the CSC wrote me an email to say that the sit supervisor will have an engineer to look at it, apparently to make sure the new conctrete pad will fit in okay? i can't believe they have to this bloody trench about 1 meter deep and a few metres long. well apart from this other things seems to be okay, the bricks seems to be quite good, how about your progress? nh Re: Building a PD Brookvale 50 36Apr 28, 2009 1:14 pm Oh no nh!!! I have also been wondering how you have been going, I can't believe they could stuff up so bad!!! Let's hope it can be fixed to your satisfaction My karma ran over your dogma Re: Building a PD Brookvale 50 37Apr 28, 2009 1:43 pm hey, bel, thank you for replying, good to see u all here again. don't know how they will fix it, i am just soo mad, how could they be so stupid (forgive me for saying so) adn forgot the major pipes? for whatever reason? bloody idiot Bel, did you require your rangehood to be ducted outside? at the moment the aluminium pipe for the rangehood for mine sees to lead to only the roof space, don't know how they are going to duct exteriorly, or they will just cover it up and pretend i won't see it? because apparently i can't see they are able to duct it through the space between the ground floor and the 1st floor as the space is too narrow. any experience from others? nh Re: Building a PD Brookvale 50 38Apr 28, 2009 2:21 pm Well my SS knows I have asked for it to be ducted to the outside - I didn't pay extra for it I just demanded it be done as apparently it is against the law to have it ducted to the floor space in a double story home... Anyway he said that would be done when the rangehood is fitted, at the moment there is nothing in the brickwork that suggests it has been ducted to the exterior, SS said they will knock out the bricks when the time comes My karma ran over your dogma Re: Building a PD Brookvale 50 39Apr 28, 2009 9:33 pm haywgl Well my SS knows I have asked for it to be ducted to the outside - I didn't pay extra for it I just demanded it be done as apparently it is against the law to have it ducted to the floor space in a double story home... I thought the standard is to duct to the ceiling. Thank you Re: Building a PD Brookvale 50 40Apr 28, 2009 9:41 pm I'm not actually sure if it is illegal in Victoria, but there was a thread a while back where some people mentioned it was illegal in their state. Also found this quote from one poster "We are building with M and were initally told that we would be charged $250 or so to vent outside. I rang up Baumatic who supply the rangehood and oven and they stated it was illegal to have the rangehood vented to the roof space. I also read the standard specifications list of M and it stated two storey homes are "externally vented". I stated both of these things to M and they are now not charging us for venting outside-but i think they might have if i hadn't made an issue of it." I just wrote a similar thing in an email to my CSC and she said she would pass it on to SS, who then went and wrote on the ground where the rangehood is "Duct rangehood to exterior" with a big arrow to outside, he then confirmed it would happen when the rangehood was installed.... Will keep reminding him though Maybe give it a try My karma ran over your dogma go upvc window frames ensure insulation under colorbond. not just sarking, lighter color roof also not sure if you have seen this viewtopic.php?t=5823 last couple of pages… 4 110559 Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11033 |
