My partner likes the M3tricon Nolan tho but it's turning out too expensive to built something close to their display home. Love the kitchen of C@rlisle Metro and the first floor layout but i don't like it that the dining is in the middle. But i love love love the PD Marriot, only if the bedrooms were a bit bigger, i could probably compromise on the 'sun aspect'. We also looked at the PD Biarritz recently and the bedrooms are a bit bigger, i think because they don't come with walk in robes, only built in robes. So i'm torn these days. I was so set on the Marriot but it doesn't sit well in our block. How long did it take you to decide which house u're building? Qas Stage 11 Re: Building a PD Brookvale 50 - photos!!!!! 67Aug 03, 2009 10:06 am hi, qa$h, totally understand how you feel, it took about 2-3 months to decide, basically we saw many display houses, simonds, metricon, , somonds has a design which is pretty good, but ground floor has a HUGE living area (too big for us to utilise it), and then nearly decided on metricon Liberty, then we have to modify a bit of that one, it became expensive, plus their windows (upstairs) seemed to be all so narrow adn small, we want some sunshine in the bedroom, but theri window arelike cell window, so we were unsure about it. then we saw PD Brookvale and i fell in love with it, mainly because of its room design, lots of divided space rather than a HUGE livign area, i thought it's a better design wheh you have older kids, so we decided on this one. the sun factor is important, but i come to realise that whatever design, you have to compromise on something, like if you have living room sunshine, then you probably can't get the sunshine into bedroom, so, make sure on balance, you have at least 85% satisfaction. just my thoughts, good luck! nh Re: Building a PD Brookvale 50 - photos!!!!! 68Aug 04, 2009 8:48 am nh then we saw PD Brookvale and i fell in love with it, mainly because of its room design, lots of divided space rather than a HUGE livign area, i thought it's a better design wheh you have older kids, so we decided on this one. That's what we felt about the Brookvale too, on paper it's a huge 50sq, but in reality it is well compartmentalised and well suited to older families who each want a bit of their own space. Each room has a function but can easily cross over rather than have such a huge space where everything is interconnected e.g. Windsor or Marriot.
