Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone build/buildiing with Scott Park Home(perth) 408Nov 20, 2009 11:44 am Also, I don't find the edges too sharp at all. My children have not cut themselves or complained about sharp edges, and we have been in our home for 14 months. Re: Anyone build/buildiing with Scott Park Home(perth) 409Nov 20, 2009 3:13 pm psjoland Well mitred edging is where the tile are on top of each other eg on a bath hob they cut the edge of the tiles on a 45 degreee angle so you dont see the end of the tile... if that makes sense. We werent really offered it either but our rep told us about it and we asked at prestart Thanks for explaning it Psjoland. Are we allowed to change thing once we go into construction department. We were thinking of chaning the color of paving. Has any one made any changes once they were in construction stage. What is the procedure for it? Dont think you can change it by when you have your meeting onsite with your tiler ask him then and he may do it for you for some $$ Built the Grand Karri with SPH viewtopic.php?f=31&t=32958&p=463360#p463360 Re: Anyone build/buildiing with Scott Park Home(perth) 412Nov 20, 2009 4:25 pm tamamontu Are we allowed to change thing once we go into construction department. Hi Tama I think you'd have to be rather lucky to be allowed to make any changes once construction had started and prepared to part with $250 for the variation. As for procedure, just email your CLO and ask, after all the worst she can do is say 'No'. Waiting for her reply. Infact I have been asking for the status and what all things have been planned till xmas holiday. Its been 4 days but no reply. Finally called her and asked about it, CLO is still waiting for reply from site supervisor. Does it take 3 -4 days to get a reply back from site supervisor??? Re: Anyone build/buildiing with Scott Park Home(perth) 415Nov 21, 2009 8:07 pm Just wondering what types of bench tops everyone has put in their kitchen? We had a price for laminate freestyle and also avonite but the price for them was ridiculous!! Scott park(south west) have advised us the they do a 7mm square form laminate bench top but not the actual "laminex Squareform" we really like the look of the the laminex squareform and are happy with a colour selection which is in that range but dont know what "scott parks square form" is going to look like??? Any suggestions?? Hi Louib, We were confused about this as well and it is probably easier if I show you the different types of benchtops. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ With our house, we got the square postform benchtop from SPH which is basically the postform with rounded edges close to 90 degrees to make it look appear 'square' if you like. I recall that some of the selections from the squareform benchtop range at laminex is available for the square postform. Just ask the CSR at the laminex store or even the tile store and they should be able to help you out. We ended up using starlight for our benchtop Re: Anyone build/buildiing with Scott Park Home(perth) 417Nov 21, 2009 11:10 pm tamamontu Thanks for explaning it Psjoland. Cost us an extra $350 for the bathroom and ensuite. Re: Anyone build/buildiing with Scott Park Home(perth) 418Nov 21, 2009 11:26 pm Rex We used an inspector at 'roof-cover' stage and I'm unsure if we'll use one for PCI. Rather than spend $600 and get what will essentially be a list of boxes with a tick or cross in them, I'm starting to think that a bit of research and preparation into what to look out for will do just as good a job for us. The help of a few family members will be useful also We have our PCI with SPH coming up in a few weeks and are looking at getting an independent inspector but we are still considering it. It's certainly a very exciting time knowing that we'll have the keys before xmas! On another note, for anyone that is looking at buying some paint we have managed to secure a bulk lot of unopened brand new 10L Dulux 1-Step Prep Coat (Acrylic Primer Sealer & Undercoat - details are on the Dulux website). We've kept what we need to paint our new house and are selling the remaining tins to fellow h1 members in WA Only. We are selling it for $130 (pricing at bunnings as of today is $157)and have limited quantities available on a first come first serve basis. PM your contact details and amount required if your interested. Re: Anyone build/buildiing with Scott Park Home(perth) 419Nov 22, 2009 1:14 am kirsada Hey T!
