To be honest, his work far much better than the tradies ![]() I wish that were the case with our SS - he thinks cleaning a mark off the carpet involves rubbing it in with his thumb... ![]() My blog: http://artstitcheshome.blogspot.com Re: Artstitches new home - WooHoo Handover tomorrow (13/8) 140Aug 14, 2009 9:27 am We went in on our way home from work as we have many times before and it was very exciting to be able to enter via the front door, turn the lights on (it was after 10pm by the time we got there..) and wander around our own house without the SS or tradies. ![]() ![]() ![]() I was really hoping that I would be able to report that all items were fixed and finished by the end of the day, but unfortunately and not surprisingly I can't. ![]() Again it's the finishing touches and the 'no care' attitude that shines through... In particular the painter. As I've mentioned he had a lot of sanding and touch-ups to do. It seems that he's done quite a bit of painting, but very little (read NONE!) sanding. The main reason he was there was because the nails on the window sills and architraves have popped (are raised) and he was supposed to sand them flush and repaint. Well he's repainted but not sanded and so the issue remains. There are other things too, and OH is adamant that they will be fixed as per the PCI and the contract and is currently at the house making a full list. He's already called the area manager (who did take his call ![]() The whole way through the construction process it feels like one step forward, two steps back.
