Hey everyone I have been reading the forums for a few weeks in relative silence, but I have a question now. We knew when we purchased the block that there was a 3m stormwater easement across the back, but we didn't know wether or not this piece of metal sheet was part of our block or not. Today they finally replaced the survey pegs, (someone had run them over previously) and as you can see the metal lid thing is right in the middle of the back of our block. We have one property joining us at the back, and the other side is not marked for anything as yet. We are going to need to put a retaining wall at the back of the block somewhere, how close or far away can we do it to this thing? I'll post pictures of the house plan on the block when I get back in a few hours to see what you think and suggestions on where/how to put the wall etc. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The little lines are 2m. ok be back soon Re: Stormwater easement yes, but what is this? 2Feb 18, 2009 10:06 pm Looks like an access door for the stormwater. Just like on the road. You can put a thin layer of dirt or a garden over it (illegally) but just remember where it is in case they need to get to it and climb down to fix something. Re: Stormwater easement yes, but what is this? 3Feb 18, 2009 11:03 pm So under it is a pipe? or something? So the retaining wall would have to be at the 3mtr mark otherwise I am digging up there pipe? Re: Stormwater easement yes, but what is this? 4Feb 18, 2009 11:44 pm with our easement when we had our solicitor do the searches the council provided the details on what you can and cant do with the easement on our block, so maybe you can get in touch with them for any specifics relating to your easement Blog - http://snakedr.blogspot.com/ Build Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=12084&p=307406#p307406 Status - PCI 15/10. Things nearly done. You should be able to encase the sewer but you will need it designed and approved and access to lot 580 to do the work 2 12638 You might be able to apply to divert the sewer at your expense. In NSW you would contact a Water services co-ordinator and they would give you advice as to whether or not… 1 12913 Thanks - yea sounds like I need to submit build over easement application....ugh guess I better start finding someone who can do the engineering drawings 3 1668 |
