Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 18, 2009 11:43 am Afternoon all,
When we started construction, we were sent a round outline of the timelines involved for the construction process and each stage. Just wondering if anyone has a copy of this, ours seems to have disappeared. In particular i was chasing the time taken from lockup to completion. Given the response time from our CSR, figured posting here would be quicker than asking her for another. As time goes on you get to compare the actual build time with the proposed build time - I think my fixing stage started around the time that the whole house was meant to have finished. Re: Porter Davis construction timelines 5Feb 18, 2009 3:02 pm The time lines they give you are for a standard plan with no changes. Which I believe they have never built because everyone changes something!
From my copy, which is for a single storey home, the lock up should be around week 8 and the handover around week 19. Our contract is 243 days (34 weeks) so no idea where this fits at all anymore. I think it is about 1/3rd to 1/2 of the way through. Hope that this helps.
