Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 17, 2009 10:19 pm hey guys
I'm not sure if I'm alone here, but I love browsing through builders' websites that are professionally done with heaps of quality pics (including floorplans etc)... Examples of good ones I know about are: porterdavis.com.au m3tricon.com.au (eg. I think Henly's is really lacking any value type pics) Is there any other sites you can recommend to me (builders, designers, etc) overseas is fine too! I just love looking at the interior designs, colour ideas etc... Cheers for that A thankful person is a happy person. I really liked Porter Davis' website when i was looking at the displays.
didnt find the henley site all that good, but i guess it's only a website. not really sure why they focus on the light fittings rather than the rooms in the house! not many builders seem to take the time to do their websites. they want you to visit the displays Re: Great Display Home websites (for ideas etc) 3Feb 18, 2009 11:39 am Have you considered real estate websites? You need to be a bit more patient but trawling through these websites can be very rewarding also. http://www.fyffedesignservices.com.au http://www.homeworld.com.au http://www.urbaynehomes.com.au/ My fav website http://www.completehome.com.au Good design idea's and other tips . Alot of info here Re: Great Display Home websites (for ideas etc) 6Feb 18, 2009 12:14 pm oh yeah, I search realestate.com.au from time to time, looking up the posh suburbs high end homes (eg. Brighton, toorak, Canterbury) where you expect good interiors...
but there has to be more displays (eg US) I would have thought that would even top Porters etc... hmmm A thankful person is a happy person. So instead of going to PD.com, m3tric0n.com, etc. you can go there and see them all. Good starting point Remember that different countries have different needs, so houses from overseas may not suite Australia. http://www.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin/rs ... =bhp&t=nhm Just click on your state and you get the search options for designs. Re: Great Display Home websites (for ideas etc) 8Feb 18, 2009 3:29 pm i love PD web site its great John, Tarin and the Kids Built and moving in to the Regent Grande with Masterton homes http://thebrownsaremovingtothecountry.blogspot.com Re: Great Display Home websites (for ideas etc) 9Feb 18, 2009 10:01 pm Hey guys, I think there is def heaps more out there and you're just not letting-on!

Have a look, it's really nice! www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com Re: Great Display Home websites (for ideas etc) 15Feb 28, 2009 9:13 pm ****** ***** and ******** have great websites, but frankly their houses don't compare in real life -- just not as polished or spacious as they look online (good photoshoppery I guess).
if you're looking for a list of project 'McMansion' builders, just use the mypackage.com.au website, that covers most of them. if you want something more, I'd suggest you look at custom builders, for example: http://www.comdain.com.au http://www.cannybuilders.com.au http://www.urbaynehomes.com.au http://www.scottsalisburyhomes.com.au http://www.bldhomes.com.au to name a few that I like Re: Great Display Home websites (for ideas etc) 16Mar 01, 2009 12:41 am hey guys, some of these sites are brilliant!

The trick to my sites is to get them to rank on Google for their geographic location as well as being appealing. http://www.drgordonbuilding.com.au Karl Re: Great Display Home websites (for ideas etc) 19Jun 09, 2011 1:08 pm A great site that collates new home builders and floor plans http://www.buildershomeplans.com.au Huge range of floorplans from a variety of builders. I would say both styles you have pictured are steel. The lower chord of the first pic would be a massive lump if made using timber considering the size of the rafters.
