Does it help? 42May 27, 2009 11:47 pm $1368 for 2740mm ceilings. NOTE - Attention to anyone building in Highlands estate. The memorandum of common provisions (in your land contract) stipulates that the ceilings have to be a minimum of 2500mm. We're building with Henley - and due to this estate provision, the 2590mm ceilings were included as standard. The cost to upgrade to 2740mm was $4700 or something like that. HOWEVER - this price is factoring in the standard Henley 2430mm ceiling heights. I was therefore able to negotiate that I should NOT be paying the cost to go from 2430mm to 2740mm considering I was only moving from 2590mm to 27400mm. Consequently, I only paid the difference between the price Henley quotes for 2590mm ceilings and the price they quote for 2740mm ceilings. Which came out to $1368. If I hadn't have argie-barged over this, I would have been stuck with close to a 5k bill for 2740mm ceilings. Very happy with what I've ended up with. Re: High ceilings - How much did you pay for it? Does it help? 43Jun 29, 2009 10:14 pm Well, we've just been quoted $12,351 to upgrade to 9ft ceilings for both the ground and first floor and $2,400 for 2340mm to all doors, sliding doors and robes. I love high ceilings too, but just not sure if I can justify spending over $12k for them... Re: High ceilings - How much did you pay for it? I loooove tall ceilings and tall doors, would've gone taller if the builder offered it as a standard option!
