Home construction estimation software/spreadsheet?

Hi

I am going through the assessing the overall cost of a new home as well as compare builder bids, e.g metricon vs porter davis vs simmonds etc for a new home in melbourne.

I was wondering if there is any spreadsheet or other software that helps record the line items - something like a bill of materials. It will help me come up with the overall cost of the house as well as compare builder bids.

any pointers appreciated.
