Browse Forums Building A New House Re: My Coventry 33 - Plans signed 21Mar 25, 2009 3:42 pm Hi Abbey -aj, Glad to hear (in a way) that I am not the only unfortunate person with this company, as I was feeling quite lonely. I took from October '08 until Mar '09 for me to finally sign off on the plans as there were numerous errors, not on my behalf I may add Where abouts are your parents building? I will be sure to find your thread and follow it closely Apparently there should be some signs of work either late this week or next week, it is so very frustrating.... I do hope that all goes well with your parents build Joles, I am doing ALOT of retail therapy for the house and it is not even stated, which I am sure is keeping my sane to a degree Re: My Coventry 33 - Plans signed 22Mar 25, 2009 4:16 pm We're both building in Deer Park, whereabouts are you building? Your experience is similar to my parents, one really silly mistake on their part was to enlarge a bedroom based on my parents request but leaving the window in the corner of the room, with the light also to one side of the room instead of making them all centred. Walls were shifted twice and lights dissappeared. Theywere also charged extra for things which were actually standard during colour selection. I went to their colour selection and i found there wasn't that much choices to choose from in comparison to NBG. But hopefully all this paperwork stuff is over soon and the exciting stuff can begin, and the most important thing is for no big issues to come up with the actual build. So good luck, hope you get started soon, and i will be watching your progress closely Re: My Coventry 33 - Plans signed 23Mar 25, 2009 4:36 pm I am building in Point Cook. I had things deleted like power points that were standard in the bathroom I actually picked up on the missing power point and I am a nurse Re: My Coventry 33 - Machinary on site today!!!! 24Mar 27, 2009 10:46 am Extremely happy to say that I finally drove past the block today, have been avioding this as I did not want to get my hopes up and have no action, but am happy to say that there is a bright yellow coloured machine clearing my block and a big truck sitting there!!! Thanks again for all the good wishes Re: My Coventry 33 - Plans signed 35Mar 28, 2009 2:33 pm Gday Tillie, Congrats on the start of your build! We too felt very surreal when our block was scraped. That feeling still remains today every time we drive past to have a look at the progress. Hope everything goes well for you from here on in. Looking forward to seeing some more pics! Has anybody had people work on their property over the weekends?? Am just curious Re: My Coventry 33 - Plans signed 38Mar 29, 2009 9:27 am My parents got the building permit on Thursday so they said they'll be in touch as to when work is going to start exactly. Last time we checked the front tap was the only thing there. Would be really nice to live close by and drive past everyday checking for progress but unfortunately we live on the other side of the city (Forest Hill) and takes almost an hour to get to the land, so the only chance we really get is over the weekends. Hopefully you'll soon have a slab to look at! Keep us updated Re: My Coventry 33 - Wooden pegs in 39Mar 29, 2009 9:36 pm Abbey_aj that's a bugger that it takes so long to get over on this side of town to check on the progress of the two houses.. I think I may even go by daily/second daily I popped past today and they must have been out on Saturday as there are multi-coloured pegs all over the block, but am unsure as to what they mean as there are different colours here are some pics..
