My parents plans show 20mm stone thickness, but in your pics it looks quite thick, as i said before looking really nice, lovely colour . Re: My C@ventry 33 - I have dates!!! 523Sep 01, 2009 9:18 am blessedpeople Same thing happened to us Tillie...we got the fixing invoice last week...went by for the inspection and found only 1 basin was fitted, benchtop in the laundry & powder room were fitted but not anywhere else. We saw the basins had been delivered & so was the laundry trough...but after the inspection, the builder actually took the ensuite basins home with him perhaps he didnt want it to be stolen... as long as the items are fixed tomorrow cause payment is due to hit then...it irks me that we get the invoice before work has actually been completed...same thing happened with our frame stage...its annoying cause we're getting an independent inspector and when he walks through, he notes all the stuff that hasn't been done which ought to have been done and because they're not done, he cant inspect it...kwim ? ahhh i think i need a coffee Totally understand what you mean As i visit everyday if the basins are not in by tomorrow shall email the CSO and ask again about them as payment is due next Tuesday fairy blue Congratulations on getting your dates. Tillie. On the home stretch now. Thankyou can't wait for the 15th of Sept to arrive Abbey_aj Just curious Tillie is the kitchen benchtop 30mm or 20mm? My parents plans show 20mm stone thickness, but in your pics it looks quite thick, as i said before looking really nice, lovely colour . Hi abbey_aj, when I had my colour consultation the lady at head office she offered either 20mm or 40mm as the special at the time was the indulgence package, there was no added cost to have the 40mm so that is why I went with it The bathroom and also ensuite are supposed to be 40mm also I have just checked my colour selection paperwork, so will be sure to check that out the next time I am able to get in Re: My C@ventry 33 - PCI 15/09/09 524Sep 01, 2009 9:54 am Nice to have that choice of going for the thicker stone, it does look nice. I don't think there was such an offer when my parents had their colours appointment unfortunately. wow 15th of September is just around the corner, must be getting really excited now! Re: My C@ventry 33 - PCI 15/09/09 525Sep 01, 2009 10:55 am Abbey_aj Nice to have that choice of going for the thicker stone, it does look nice. I don't think there was such an offer when my parents had their colours appointment unfortunately. wow 15th of September is just around the corner, must be getting really excited now! What offer did your parents end up getting? Mine included a dishwasher the stone in the kitchen and ensuite, a spa, mixer taps and also the salad bowl like basins in the ensuite, larger free standing oven, canopy rangehood and I think that was about it.. I am ridiculoulsy excited to say the least Re: My C@ventry 33 - PCI 15/09/09 526Sep 01, 2009 10:10 pm I dont think they got as much with their deal. The stone wasn't included and they needed to pay extra for that, no mixer taps or different basins, no spa, they needed to pay extra for the larger oven, but they did get a dishwasher, they also had to upgrade to glass splashback. If i remember correctly i think there was an allowance for floor covering to part of the house and 15 flyscreens too, i would have definitely preferred stone to the ensuite and bathrooms instead! We were extremely happy with the package we got from NBG at the time: stone to kitchen, bathroom & ensuite, glass splashback, flat roof tiles, higher ceilings, mixer taps, dishwasher, flyscreens. I can't remember if there was anything else, but most of it were things we would have definitely added on so we got to spend the money on other extras which was good. Re: My C@ventry 33 - PCI 15/09/09 527Sep 05, 2009 10:26 am Hi Abbey_aj, I forgot that the glass splashback to the kitchen was also part of the "deal" brain is not working right Mine did not include any floor coverings which is a little bit of a pain as it would have been great to have had them done prior to handover, but have a friend who is a tiler doing them and also his brother in law is a carpet layer Not a great deal exciting has happened to the house this week, the bench has gone into the laundry, but am still waiting for the floor tiles to be laid in there as I have a waste point in the laundry it was not waterproofed when the rest of the house was as the floor had not been graded as yet. The bulkhead in the kitchen has been fitted and needs to be finished off, also arrived one day at the house when the stone was going to be cut so the electrician could put double power points on either side of the island bench, he suggested that it may be a safety risk if someone was walking past etc... so what they have done is installed them to both end of the bench in the respective top left and right corners of the cupboards with the perspex like glass in them Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Still waiting on the plumbers to come and fit the basins, showerscreens etc.. oh and the toilets On one of my "visits" the manhole had not been closed off and had a look in the roof and I have a light with switch Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Laundry bench which is stipple hemp Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: My C@ventry 33 - PCI 15/09/09 528Sep 05, 2009 10:41 pm Hi Tillie, I haven't visited your thread for a while It's all looking great and how fantastic that you have dates already, that's only a few weeks away woo hoo!! That is a deal Thorney only progress that I have seen at my place is the pics above with the doors up and handles, door stops fitted. It is only Tuesday, potential three big days left this week mundie mansion A clever idea to put the power points inside the cupboard. We asked for an extra power point on the island bench but the electrician forgot, or perhaps it was not possible. I am going to check out inside the cupboard now just in case My electrician said that it was not an issue having them in the island bench MM it did cost me a little more that the standard DPP as it was in an island bench. blessedpeople Looking good Tillie, especially the double pp in the cupboard, nicely hidden away until needed.. Thanks, that is what I think now also, am very glad I "popped" in when I did thechlochlo ohhhhhh arhhhhhh beautiful kitchen Tillie love the cupboards great tip on the plug might have to steel that idea. Great job speeding along nicely Not my idea to steal it was the electricians and thanks lisanne Hrmm I'm not so sure about the PP in the cupboard, does it mean that the door has to be open when you use it? Yes you are right Lisanne whilst it is in use or if a mobile needs to be charged I suppose that can sit in there or my ipod??? I am much happier with them in there asa opposed to having the stone cut and then having the DPP not being centred at either end of the bench and unfortunately the electrician said I would have to have larger DPP not the slim ones. He also pointed out that as it is in a traffic area for safety reasons and not just aesthetics it would be better to have them in the cupboard Re: My C@ventry 33 - PCI 15/09/09 536Sep 10, 2009 11:12 am Well less than week to PCI and have not as yet had the following done: Toilets Shower screens Bains and laundry trough Grouting to the tiled areas and the completion of tiling to the ensuite areas around the bath and also around the spa in the bathroom Flyscreens Glass Splashback External paint work Man hole covers Bulk head to be completed in the kitchen No kitchen appliances, I am aware that they may be fitted later though Fixing up around the shelving in the ensuite Painting the final coat of the architraves Also the "stink" pipe which is near my bathroom has not been installed properly and the SS was made aware of this last Thursday and it has still not had the flashing fitted thus resulting in water filling my bathroom light fitting I have almost on a daily basis been emailing my CSO that it has not been rectified, yet she has assured me that the SS has contacted the plumber and they were supoposed to have had it fixed by now. I am dreading the amount of potential damage to the plaster, paintworks electrical insulation etc... with the rain we have had Think that is about it, not too positive that it will be done in time by next Tuesday, but here's hoping... Should the house be completed for PCI? I would have thought yes so you can assess the house properly... Yet another email this morning to the CSO... She emailed me yesterday that she was too busy to reply to my emails Sure hope that you are right Lisanne Re: My C@ventry 33 - PCI 15/09/09 539Sep 11, 2009 11:22 am Hey mate Hope you are feeling better, I missed you on Tuesday I'm on tomorrow if you are That is so rude of your CSC, Umm hello that is your job!! I would say that yes your house should be complete at PCI. Like Lisanne said though they can get alot done in a few days, I know our fittings showerscreens, mirros, handles etc were all done in one day. My karma ran over your dogma Re: My C@ventry 33 - PCI 15/09/09 540Sep 11, 2009 2:41 pm Hi Tillie, your house should be as close to completion as possible for PCI so I hope that happens for you. I love the french door, very nice Good luck for Tuesday but hopefully we hear from you before then I had new concrete laid, extended the alfresco and had the sidewalks concreted too. I noticed the concreter didn't put the expansion foam anywhere, there are expansion… 0 8120 1 11005 1 15753 |
