I've been offline for a while, so I'm just catching up a bit. So sorry to hear about your friend. It does take the shine off the new house, but hopefully once you've moved in you will find time to grieve properly. My thoughts are with you.

I'm feeling very organised today. I've bought a 3 step step-ladder so I can reach all my kitchen cupboards and the lights... oh and the redi-shades The painters were at the house today doing their inside work and through the rain I think I could tell the front door has been finished! I wasn't getting out of the car though with the rain and mud.... they also left a lovely splash of mud on my roller door too 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' LOL, I'm with you on this one - though you were much more motivated than I was venturing out for a look-see in the rain. I just didn't bother...even with my wellies and all, the thought of the yucky clay, mud, slosh etc.... Otherwise I would have stayed home. I have been a bit slack with photo's but that's mostly cos there isn't really anything new or exciting to show. Today I went up to the house and the painters have been hard at work and done the final coat to my front door, my glass splashback has also been installed!! Also there are a couple of photos I took from the PCI PCI - My ensuite has the chicken pox - the red dots are used to mark what needs touching up Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Bathroom looking to rumpus Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ One of my Heater/Aircon control panel Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ My front door has had it's final coat! Door looks nice and shiny now (great door too by the way!! and i think i'm getting a similar handle) Shame about the splatter on the garage door though!! But that'll easily wash off hopefully? Are you getting the driveway paved before you move in? LOVE the mocha splashback!!!!! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=22766 - my build thread! Time waits for no man. Unless that man is Chuck Norris. Are you getting the driveway paved before you move in? LOVE the mocha splashback!!!!! Thanks Jodie!! I want to see my splashback from inside, I'm very happy with how it appears though! I think the straight lines of the handle goes well with the rectangle window panes, I love my front door! The mud should just wipe off, if it doesn't then it will have to get replaced! Unfortunately I can't get the driveway concreted until I have ownership, so hopefully Thurs/Fri/Sat this week they will have some OK weather to do it - the mud is just awful and cos it's all back fill you just sink into it! I thought I was going to lose a gumboot this morning, urgh! 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' The mocha splashback looks sensational with the feature panel on the front of your bench!!! The rest of your house is looking just lovely too, congratulations, you must be so pleased!!! The purple front door is pretty cool !! MagicJ I finally have my own reno thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=28335 The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue! Re: Chateau Lisa -Splashback is in! 1757Sep 26, 2009 2:25 pm Congratulations on the COO Lisa. The house is looking really great. Love the Mocha Magic (am leaning towards this one myself after abandoning lime green. Toss up between mocha and red ) Great that they changed the towel rack as it's a much better position. Will you be able to spread the towel out or will it be bunched up? It's all looking sensational. Bet you are getting really excited. Re: Chateau Lisa -Splashback is in! 1758Sep 26, 2009 4:09 pm Love the splashback Lisa, works really well in your kitchen. Not many sleeps to go now Re: Chateau Lisa -Splashback is in! 1759Sep 26, 2009 4:26 pm Thanks MJ! I try to block out most of the glass reflections but it doesn't always work! And YES, nearly my purple gumboot! Thanks Rowena - I nearly went a green colour! like apple green but changed to something safer. Not sure how useable the towel rail will be in its new place, I have to see how much space there is, hand towels at least will be good there Thanks MM, not many sleeps at all now, I'm getting excited again. I've now packed up my linen cupboard so it's now just the kitchen to go which I will do tomorrow and Monday - I'm thinking about buying some plastic/paper plates to use to eat from so I can just fully pack it all 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' Love the splashback and had to look twice to see it was taken outside. It's nasty being locked out as we are too!!! Let's hope this Melbourne weather improves for when you move in!!! Looking forward to more photos then. Cheers Harribeka |
