I actually wish I had your smarts and left some imprints on our concrete when it was wet.. we were RIGHT THERE when the concreters were pouring!! LoL Anyways.. nope the framing is coming along!! D'oh!! I think it was stormy or southies who I got the idea off, they tried using an old nail they found, I cam prepared with a screw driver lol!! I went up there yesterday, still no frame but I spoke to the guy who does the site clean ups, he was dumping some soil to back fill my site and he said he thinks it's meant to start today. He also said that I have a really great SS and that he treats the tradies/workers really well and he reckons he is the best PD has and he deals with PD all over Melbourne - awesome! I also asked him to let my SS know that it was me that engraved the concrete and it wasn't some random graffiti heheh He also mentioned that he has seen a house like mine be built in 14 weeks! I discovered that there is another Regent 21 being built over the road and 3-4 houses down (I checked the filing cabinet for the plans), they look like their slab could be done this week or next, so the race is on! Also - how long does it take to get the slab invoice from PD? I though I'd have had it by now as the slab was done on Friday... I don't mind not paying the interest on the amount but I don't want the payment to end up be late either! 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' With the invoice payment.. just let PD know if it will be late.. they are pretty good with understanding the banks take FOREVER with everything. Would be a dream! Oh my bank is pretty quick, all I do is call them up tell them to pay it and its done within 2 days by EFT I just don't want them to think I'm late when in fact I haven't even received it 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' As for the invoice, we got ours before each of our stages were finished. But it was good cuz it gave us time to go through the house and just check that everything was okay, and then make payment. We didnt pay if we found something that wasnt meant to be there or if something was missing.. but that wasnt an issue coz everything was where it was meant to be! Our SS was a champion! Really, really good. We've even gone back to him after handover when we've had some problems with the house and he's been happy to come and take a look. Re: Chateau Lisa 835Jun 17, 2009 8:33 pm The framers started today!!! Today was the first time I got to actually walk through the rooms of my house and start to visualise it all! This is a first as there aren't any display's of this model house so it's even more exciting! I can't seem to post any photos so they are all on my blog! Gotta remember though, that I'm building a 21sq house, so while it's small compared to some houses it's going to be huge for me! Still no invoice today, but today I did get a letter about the rain day and that was logged on the PD 24/7 site before the slab was done, so I figure I should get it later this week 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' By tomorrow you will have some walls up and will be able to walk around it. We generally get our invoices about 3 working days after the stage is complete. But the billing dept goes by the schedule that the SS gives them which is why sometimes the invoices come early and sometimes late. I'd say yours is late due to the rain delay, but be careful what you wish for Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. I think for a 21sq house your slab looks really big. You will get lost in all the rooms as that is a great amount of space for one person |
