Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 05, 2009 1:16 pm Hi all,
I'm about to be at lock up stage soon and keen to find out from everyone about their experiences from lock up to hand over. That is how long did it take you? I heard some project builders will stall their work after lock up b/c they have 80% of your money and are likely to use their resources on other projects where they can get another 80% rather spend time on yours to get 20%. I know that M is notorious for doing this..... anyhow, any feedback is appreciated. ---->Some say that a recession is when your neighbour loses his/her job while a depression is when you lose yours!<----- Re: Lock up stage to handover 2Feb 05, 2009 1:24 pm Took H3nley about 90 days to get us to handover from lock up http://www.rentfreeatlast.blogspot.com/ Building in Berwick ----------------------------------------------------------- "Flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." - Douglas Adams Re: Lock up stage to handover 4Feb 05, 2009 2:14 pm I am at lock up too (actually pass fixing stage at the same time), my SS said that from now, he only has 5 weeks to complete the house, then PCI, and another week or 2 for fixing, and handover the key
So I should expect to get the key in approx 6-8weeks… I am not sure if he tells the truth, but time will tell..
