Thanks All they can do is forward a request to their head office for consideration. are basicly there to pull home orders in the door. What frustrated us was the sales consultants saying yes to a whole range of things and giving false ideas of costs from their heads... Big ones only a minimal amount after nagging their bosses to approve it (or maybe it comes out of their commission)...

i spoke directly to someone at the head office and told them that i was looking to go elsewhere because their costs in this area were too high so they did come back to me with a 2k price drop, but it had to be done at head office level, and i have paid them money so they new i wasnt just hunting for prices Blog - http://snakedr.blogspot.com/ Build Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=12084&p=307406#p307406 Status - PCI 15/10. They were so abrupt when they told me they do not build in my area... though they build 4 streets away in the next council area. In my experience these were the worst. The Best sales persons I felt were at Wisdom, Clarendon, Huxley Its hard being a bad sales man, but Eden Brae seems to have done it! I know I pay my consultant's a high amount compared with other major builders who pay approx half of our comm's and if I was a consultant I'd be loathe to give something away to get a deal through as the work you put in to get a deal is not worth walking away with a little commission. Remember that the consulants are working off an advance given to them by their builder i.e. commission only; and therefore trying to get something out of them, unless they're getting, say, $5k per job, which I have not seen with any major builder, is a complete waste of time. Don't fall for the "Freebies" scam Re: Can you work out something with Sales Consultants ? 10Feb 05, 2009 10:54 am With our builder, the guy in the sales office is a licensed architect so he's fantastic for giving accurate costings for any extensions and he is also able to tell you on the spot whether something can be changed or give you an idea about how to change something without effecting the flow of the house. That's one of the things I really like about Wisdom, they're not just sales people.
Negotiating prices is the bit you can't really do much about in general. What about I dropping something (i.e BASIX) and then add something else (i.e 3rd garage)? It's ok as long as the total price is the same? May I know the sales person you talked to? We are very much interested in Wisdom home.
