Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 03, 2009 4:13 pm Hi guys
We got a concrete slab to our alfresco/porch as standard with PD as they are part of the standard design for our house. I'm just wondering if anyone has added an Alfresco to a PD design and if the cost of the upgrade included slab to the alfresco area Thanks for any help My karma ran over your dogma Re: PD/Alfresco Slab 3Feb 03, 2009 4:57 pm Our alfresco was included in the house plan so the slab came standard, it is probably about 3x4m maybe less I haven't actually measured it
I'm wondering if the alfresco isn't standard though and you add it as an extra if the slab is still included.. My karma ran over your dogma Re: PD/Alfresco Slab 5Feb 03, 2009 5:14 pm Thanks for that. I know it is a relatively new thing including the price of the alfresco/porch slab in the base price but wasn't sure if it was included in the price of adding an alfresco My karma ran over your dogma Re: PD/Alfresco Slab 8Feb 03, 2009 6:35 pm hey bel
our alfresco and front porch slab is included but the site cost is so high. i think the cost of it is being added on the sit cost. when they say included, it doesn't mean they provide extra, it means the cost is included in the site cost. otherwise, the site cost can't be that high - flat, no rocks, just P class soil nh Re: PD/Alfresco Slab 9Feb 03, 2009 6:48 pm Wasn't included when we signed up, and they flatly refused to do it when we asked -wouldn't even give us a price We would have paid for a concreted front porch and Al Fresco......now we just have dirt.... I thought they were doing these for everyone now.... The slab is included if the alfresco is a standard part of the design from what I can gather from the forum, but if you add an alfresco or extend an alfresco.... is the slab included or is it extra? I think that's the question. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: PD/Alfresco Slab 12Feb 03, 2009 7:11 pm petal, long time no see, how r you? and how is the beautiful house? sure you enjoy it!
so it wasn't an inclusion before? i guess it will save you the work now if it's inlcuded. could you do it altogether with your drive way etc? nh Re: PD/Alfresco Slab 13Feb 03, 2009 7:11 pm our alfresco was an addition... which is what i should have explained...the CSC told US that cement slab was now standard to all porch and alfresco areas...
hope this clears this up. I've been around - we must have missed each other! When does the build start? Yep, that's exactly what we'll do - after the pool has been dug.... going to cost but we are allowing $15-$20k Building Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=13002 Site start: 8th July 2009 Handover: 11/12/2009! 5 months total build time. 40 sqs of luxuary...Bliss! Re: PD/Alfresco Slab 16Feb 03, 2009 7:23 pm ours is an add-on to the standard plan and is approx 4.5m x 4.25m
for $9500 slab is not included with that cost, that is an additional $2500 although it is being poured with the main slab. so $12k for an alfresco. Really makes the rear of the home however. Re: PD/Alfresco Slab 17Feb 03, 2009 7:36 pm Thanks Jo Yep I should have made myself more clear.
Shazburger - hmm so it should be included in the price to add it an addition. Excellent thanks Ozroo- Are you building with PD?
