Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 03, 2009 11:56 am Hi everyone. I just have a quick questions which i never really thought of until i read the news on the new stimulus package. When building a new house do you get any rebates from the governement for installing a grey water tank and/or solar hot water panel? Considering they are compulsory to have or is it established homes only?? Re: GOVERNMENT REBATES 2Feb 03, 2009 11:58 am hey mate, new stuff in this stimuls package is being released.
check this forum out https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.p ... highlight= Not sure about the water tank, i belive that is all to do with the BASIX package. Re: GOVERNMENT REBATES 3Feb 03, 2009 12:27 pm I received a brochure about Government rebates with my latest rates instalment notice however it states they are not applicable to people building a new house Re: GOVERNMENT REBATES 4Feb 03, 2009 12:48 pm Generally, we are not entitled for any rebates if we are required to install anything by rules and regulations (Eg: BASIX).
On a slightly different topic, this is the best time to get a rain water tank in Sydney! Sydney Water has been giving out rebates for RWTs and now the federal government also giving rebate if you have one internal connection. Get it before Sydney water adjusts their rebates. According to my simple calculations, we can get about $1400.00 back if we get a 4000L tank with one internal connection. - devank |
